I wish the final battle on the 3D Mario games were like this. The battles from the Mario Galaxy are just like simple and easy. But this final boss took challenge moderately high and the atmosphere to boot. Sunshine was a complete joke. But 64, memorable is just a repeat from the last fights.

As a boss theme, I think this song beats out any of Bowser's Galaxy themes despite not being orchestrated. What it lacks in big booming instruments it makes up for in sheer emotional oomph. To me, this song sounds like something that would play during Mario's grand finale. Coupled with the enjoyable boss fight, it's currently my favorite boss theme from the series.

Also, I hope I'm not the only one who started humming the DK theme when Bowser started chucking barrels....

@beterbomen he install the buttons, to jump on it when mario is on the bridge. But Mario knows it and he use the buttons when bowser is on the bridge. So if you defeat bowser, you defeat him with his own plan to defeat mario xD

I had some misgivings about this game's short length and easy difficulty, but the final boss battle was quite literally the best Mario bossfight I've ever played. @TimeFireProductions Well, a gold Tanooki Leaf is an Item that appears after you lose 8 lives in a row on a level. It's kind of like a mix of the Star and regular Tanooki Leaf, except the invincibility lasts the entire level. If you lose 16 lives, you get the Goal P-Wing, which flies you straight to the goal.
