It is BEYOND incredible to find a video for such a landmark aussie garage KILLER. The Atlantics were an ace surf instrumental bsnd, "Bombora" is easily as good as "Pipeline", but when they hooked up with older rocker Johnny Rebb in 1966/7 and put down some vocal sides, it was UNBELIEVABLE. Check out their other youtube clip for "Come On", also from Tomtokenator, covered in the 80s by fab Oz band Wet Taxis and later on by Sweden's ultra cool Nomads.
fantastic song! these aussies really mean business, i knew them from their track on ugly things volume 1, anyone know what this song is? i have to get it!
Can't see the singer's face; the sign is covering it. It's all backwards, instead of the singer standing in the front, he's standing in the back and the drummer is in the front.
Some cools things in this video. First the keyboardist has got a guitar hanging on his chest while he plays.. Second the drummer is almost other-worldly ... like a spirit ... ya...
i agree, the drummer has the stone faced cool of charlie watts, the singer is my new hero, he looks like he is getting ready to shoot around of golf when the song is over! aussies rule!!!!!
Great to see the old Atlantics!!! Check out all their albums!!! Peter Hood is one of the best drummers ever! You like Mel Taylor? Me too! He and Peter are sooooo great! Reverbed cheers from The Kilaueas from Germany! If you like Surfinstrumentals, check out The Kilaueas here on youtube! Ralf Kilauea
another masterpiece of garage '60s music from the same rock group that brought us "Come On" cheers! x0]
