  • good tutorial bruh..

  • LE METES UNAS GANAS CON TU VOZ DE BOLUDO Q DAN GANAS DE TIRAR LA COMPU A LA MIER DA!

  • that's a loud fukin mouse click!

  • i sooooooo hate this program, even tho i need to work with it most of my time, good sound tho, thumbs up

  • Or you could use a real DAW like Ableton Live or FL Studio and do all of this right inside the DAW itself without needing external software that requires constant saving and reloading of the files you change.

  • good god. this took forever to start up and start being useful >.O

  • yo when i firsr saw this video a couple years back i learned alot from your video tutorial. i think u chopped the sample well i just wasn't feeling the drums pattern u used 2 much, u feel me.

but i ready appreciate u postin this video up.

& when u get some free time u should check out a few of my beats.

  • how do you count bars bcuz ive been entering it in at random when using recycle

  • Count 1,2,3,4 -> one bar

    cound 1,2,3,4 again -> 2nd bar

cound on and on to the end of the sample.

    Easy.

  • wow ive never considered rewireing each drum individually, you get props for expanding my mind

  • not so good, sorry

  • sorry bud but this was painful to watch

  • whats the song ?

  • The Isley Brothers "Don't say goodnight".

  • just count with your fingers

  • How do you know how long to make a sample? say if want it to loop every 2 bars.

  • You Count The Bars In Your Head, A Bit Like A Metronome.

  • how do you get the drum to keep clicking

  • that my friend is the metronome, you can find it to the left of the bpm/tempo indicator :) on the transport (play/stop/FF/rewind ect.)

  • man i need to find that recycle program somewhere

  • just search in google Recycle 2.1 Torrent and u will get it ;D

  • are you using digital metronome???

  • How do you actually sample the original music into Reasons? Is there a tutorial youtube or other vid? Nice sample you chose;-)

  • yo how long have u been messing with reason???

  • When I made this video I had Reason for about 3 months, which was back in March 07.

  • do you know how to get clear samples

like if i was to go to a music store and take my pocket recorder and play with the instruments and want to put it in my daw how will i be able to equalize them and make them sound clear?

  • are you fagget or what?

  • any one know where i can get recycle for free im poor

  • Can someone tell me how you make the vocal sample speed up (chipmunk style) without speeding up the tempo of the rest of the beat? Is it inside Recycle or Dr. Rex? Thanks!

  • i got one question can i have ur mac lol...

  • how do u sync to tempo any slice, to any pre drum loop thats loaded into the dre rex player

  • Godd stuff man.

    soundclick. com/since1988productions

    pickabeat. net/members/231

    myspace. com/since1988productions

  • boooring!!

  • yo, how did you get video to look so clean? I mean, how did you record the video with you talking and making the beat without another video camera?

  • Sound like "Bruh Man"...."5th Flo"

  • honestly, that beat was hella wack. before you make a "tutorial" your beats should be much better. IF YALL WANT TO HEAR ACTUAL DOPE SAMPLED BEATS, CHECK MY CHANNEL! you will not be disappointed. peace.

  • Got over 100,000 views. Nuff Said!

  • I think it has 100,000 views not because the beat is good, but because people want free tutorial information. It is amusing how you are pretending to be all bored in the video though lol. Aight errybody *sigggghhhh* I make this look easy. lol newb

  • Dont matter what the reason is, the FACT is i got over 105,000 views and it grows by the hundreds on a daily. Besides that was my first video ever. People like the vid. Type in makin a beat and see whos video is in the top 5. Type makin a sampled beat and see whos video is number 1 and 2.

  • U NEED TO EDIT VID. TOOOO LONG!

  • yo chek my beat out leme kno wot u fink

  • ay i got a q.. in reason is there a setting to make it so when u hit the pad the whole sample in the pad plays?.. cuz right now i have to hold the pad to get the pad playing and when i let go it stops.. on mpcs you press it once and the whole sample loaded plays. help please?

  • Man you suck, this is not sampling, this is fucking up a song.

It takes too long, ur working too slow dude. lame ass shit

  • i seen faggots make better beatz

  • how did you get those slices in order with the rythem?? I know you need to change the bar setup 'n stuff at the above right, you know..? can't seem to find a good explanation of that..

peace to anyone ever to reply on this one

  • You have to know the length of the loop as far as bars or beats. After you figure that out put a slice for each count per measure. Example if you have a 2 bar loop in 4\4 which is 4 counts per measure you should have 8 slices. Did that help?

  • yeah man alot. Makes sence come to think about it. haha

    thanks homey..

    peace

  • how do i thorw a sample beat that is wav. into hat Drrex plugin? how do i make it rx?

  • recycle

  • new fl studio edison(slicex) does all the sampling job within fl studio,so no recycle needed!fl studio sampoling is wayy and way more easy and efefctif, reaosn isnt to produce a song from a -z with mixing, everyone know,s that, but it does the job,fl stock sounds sock thats why most sample /bring up own vsti,s ,that wway you can create it into a personal program by leaving standart shit out :D

  • is it me or does that marker not sync to the sample, bwahahah how you can slice pricise then?

  • lol

  • lol go buy your music instead

    YOU SUCK ASS MOTHER FUCKER

  • good night

  • good night

  • same sample a j dilla used for his song .

both songs urs and his are banana's

  • IF ANYONE WANTS TO MAKE A BEAT USING REASON 3.0 through msn reply to this comment. i make lots of different styles, nd generally just see what the beat comes out like. Ambient nd electronica mainly. although DnB has not been tried yet :)

its great fun colabarating two peoples ideas and sounds together!

  • sorry man that was shit WTF were you thinkin i want to piss on you

  • let the dildo buzz your asshole

  • you can use reason like a mpc when you put te polyphonie to 1 and the release up

  • i think you need to drink more PISS!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what the hell lol

  • I see some dumbass comments here about Reason being a beginners software. Only people that don't know how to use Reason would say some bullshit like that.

You can do anything with Reason except for record vocals.

  • @deezomaxima is good for making music, but you need cubase, protools, or any other to do a proper mix, fx, and mastering.

  • @bestplugins That all depends tho. Reason has a great mastering module within it's software.

  • @deezomaxima very limited, to master properly you better use multiband compressors, multiband limiters, eqs, armonic enhancers... and you may have them in reason, but you have more and more powerful plugins in other software, specially designed to master professionally. I have a studio, and i never use reason to master anything, ever. Reason may fit to non profesional music makers, and it may be 90 % of its users, so its not bad for them, but not for pros.

  • do you have to use recycle?

  • ay i got reasons too and i got magix im trying to get the sample from magix to reason and when i did i opened it with redrum and it on infinite it wont stop playin any advice?

  • plus using stock sounds from a software is beginners stage,so dont try to school me!i past that stage years ago son!go buy sum real hardware :-) or try cubase or logic!makes much more sense dude!you dont know what your missing when your only on reason!!

  • If you listen to my tracks you'll here some stock sounds but for the most part i create my own sounds. I dont only use stock sounds, I stated and i quote, "Out of the box reason has better stock sounds than FL Studio". I have a motif, and mpc1000 I use with Sonar seldomely. Cubase is a sequencer only really there instruments really suck, Logic on the other hand is the best software for production hands down. In the near future I'll post some Logic vids.

  • @rtiztic Homie it dont matter what software u make your music with...as long as its dope.who cares(and i produce music)...stop being so political it homie.

  • reason is for poor producers who wanne use stocksounds every other reaon has,so what you are doing every one els that uses reason is does!period!check howmuch big producers say, reason is for lowbudget producers!but you can make hot shit in every program every one his own ideas ay,but most people look for own setups, not a standart stock sound program,

  • yeah reason sounds is a little better, but the sequencer is to small and fucked up to work with,i mean how you wanne draw a drum roll inside reason??i know alot of reason and fl users, and f lusers have more variation in their music because fl has a much better sequencer /piano roll,if yuo use waves ssl400 in fl studio you blow reason away,REASON =DOPE BUT IF YUO START WITH REASON THE REST IS A MYSTERY FOR YOU,

  • The sounds in FL are flat, weak lifeless sounds that no could honestly use to make a beat they can sell you have to use VST's. Reason comes with huge sounds great effects and everything else. You can make the sequencer full screen in reason so its not to small. Reason is for the more advanced musicians period.

  • bra sound like he high

  • too long.. the info is good but it bores people quick.. show general ideas then move on to the next step.. it's boring as heck watching someone put a beat together piece by piece.. not downing you but just a suggestion .

  • you cant say reason sound is better, every program has proffesional quality ,its how YOU mix it down ,check 9th wonders new cd ,didnt heard any reason user yet with mpc style beats made in reason, but 9th did in fl(i not use fl btw)i gotte give it to my mp cubase triton and ensoniq sampler :)

  • 9th Wonder uses a lot of samples. Open Reason and FL Studio play all the stock sounds and you will be able to tell the difference. Reason out of the box sounds way better then FL.

  • go drink a coffe before makin videos you sound tired bro peace ;)

  • I have the FL studio, I was wondering if the reason it's better than FL or it's the same thing?

  • It is the pretty much except Reasons sound quality is a lot better than FL.

  • yo this vid is a dope, but did you run that sample into recycle then made it into a rex file? because i have my sample cd's i want to use in reason, but everytime i try to open my files on my sample cd and try to dump it in reason it shows up blank. please help, thanks

  • Hi,

How you route that second mixer? onto the first mixer?! I try'ed to link em on the device thats always on top, where you can see your audiocard and midi device, but that doesn't work. I cant figure out why it wont work. So how do you do that?! :D

  • haha man the sample isnt on beat. Slice that shit on point!cool sample though

  • that video was no help at all

  • this is dope and I need this old version , any1 have it , holla at me

    one,

  • i have it if you want plus a ton of samples on 5 dvd's. you got an email?

  • lol

  • wack

  • slim thug makes beats? lol j/k

  • lol

  • WTF?????!!!!!!!

  • sample*

  • how u simple in reason sumbody tell me 9111

  • supp wit the chipmunks? love it.

  • yo did you chop your stuff manually

  • Yeah because thats the only way to use the sample the way you want to.

  • buy reason 3.0, sonar 6 and more!!!!

    EBAY

    cheap cheap cheap

  • What the fuck was that shit man?

  • i am usually a fruity loops cat but imma switch things up and try it out... nice sample i like the vocals in that song gotta find a way to use them

  • It is cracked lol thats was up!

  • Yo i just got it. Do u have to have a midi controller. o yay that beat is hot!

  • Much luv on the good non white boy tut.Glad to see you bringing that hood shit..

  • Thanks man.

  • yeah because it makes so much difference when theres a guy saying.. word... ya know what im saying... helps a lot more.... u idiot... u call us white boy's .. i call you nigger's .. if your gonna be racist.. then i will return the favour

  • wtf is wrong wit u. he did not even say white boy. even if someone called u white boy take it out on him not all of us. WTF! U gotta problem with him so dont go on the internet where the WHOLE WORLD is watching you be ignorant. Oh and the word is cracker not white boy retard. it means your white just like what black boy means. so shut up

  • stupid fuck, anyone can say white boy, like what are you gonna do about it? the same way people says black boy or asian boy, it's nothing racist. however if he said 'cracker' then it's a different story, prick.

  • im not defending him coz i dont use the 'n' word, but if u say suttin like stupid white boy or stupid black boy, then its racist, or even non-white boy coz skin colour has nothing to do with it.

  • do you need a extra program to make a sample beat

  • you need recycle. to turn it into a rex file

  • Nice Beat What is the name of the program you use to do your tutorial. How do you get that yellow circle as you move your mouse? Id like to make a tutorial too.

    THanks

    DJ Omar Superstar

  • I used camtasia studio

  • how do u get music 2 sample??

  • check out my song kvin6565

  • lol it's cracked

  • on my recycle the buttons to slow the tempo are greyed out, any ideas on how to activate them?

  • AHAHAHA!!! sadmachine oh my god hahaha

  • phat track

  • Is there an English version?

  • nice tutorial. i just got a question. i have reason 3.0 as well. i used the redrum to make a beat, but i detached the sequencer from the rack. how do i get it to play on the sequence? i tried the pencil tool but, it's not writing? just plays continuously. any help would be appreciated. thanks

  • If I understand the question, highlight the drum track in the sequencer, then right click redrum and click "Copy Pattern to Track."

  • that worked somewhat. the red writing finally came up after i copied pattern to track. but, when i try to delete a segment of the track and then play it. the part i deleted just lowers the volume and the written part is just louder. thanks for the help.

  • After you have copied to the track, change the pattern on the ReDrum machine to a blank one. You can also just click on run to turn it off, but I suggest the blank pattern, as run is turned on automatically when you press play on the transport. It sounds louder/softer because it is play every note twice, at the same time: One from the sequencer track, one from the step sequencer on the ReDrum machine. Hope that helps.

  • damn sorry man i'm not getting it. do you have aim or yahoo instant messenger? if so, can you message me your screen name. if you're down to help of course. i'd appreciate it. i'll be able to send photos of what i am talking about

  • My friend.. There is a pattern selector.. you use that to perform your programs

  • that's tight how u got the same playin and repeating

  • is it possible to use reason are any producing programs without any other hardware devices???

  • you can use reason 3.0 without hardware. Just go to the piano view, hit record and then click the note you want to record.

  • yo what program you using to cut ur samples?

    if u dont mind

  • Recycle 2.1

  • good looks. tx.

  • u got a good ear

  • i was doing that same sample nice work isley brothers

  • hot shyt bra!!

can u tell me how u wired ur redrum to the mixer? i mean dat every sound got its own channel... i tried it and it worked but im doin somethin wrong cause i cant put a reverb or compressor or sumthin to it!

  • damn how many blunts you had before making that vid? LMAO :D

  • is there a way to map the redrum to the midi controller?

  • Step 1) Discover which midi in channel your device is coming through. Step 2) Depending on which on it is select it from the Reason Hardware Interface and select redrum from the drop down list. (You must have a ReDrum instrument in your rack before this will work.) Step 3) This iesn't really a step it's more of a tip; ReDrum is by default mapped on key C1 - E2 Hope this helps

  • you think these beats are hot check out the ones on myspace(dot)com/elsewherebeats

  • that clicking sound makes me wanna kill myself.

    nice tutorial tho

  • i used that i think myspace/supremeson

  • you sound stoned lmao. nice tutorial. appreciated

  • oh. sorry for double post. didnt know the first comment worked (bad english, from sweden)

  • Bajsa if your using Recycle to cut the samples save it as an rx2 or rex file.

  • in what format u saved the sample ? i cant find my sample i saved in .mp3 and .wav

  • I wonder in what format u saved the sample ? cuz i cant find the sample i try to use in .mp3

  • Always .wav

  • Why does everyone begin tutorial videos with "ok" or "alright"? Just find it weird.

  • Different theories on that. Some, because starting with a vowel sounds smoother. Others, it gives the people an idea as to what volume it's at, in case it's too loud.

  • He didnt match the loop correctly in recyle to make his beat too

  • how boring is this guy ?

  • waz up wit ya boi, do you know whats the best equipment to get reason. get at me....

  • Yo thats tight how you route each single drum to a single mixer up at the top, imma have to give that a try

  • I hope your sister gets raped sometime soon canadaonly2

  • i hope she does mate

  • canadaonly, you a bitch

  • ur muma

  • Oooh great comeback there canadaonly2
