Europe is old and tired. They've fought for so long they just want to ignore anything that threatens their supossed peace. I think there's way too much supranationalism in the world today. We need to relax some of these bodies or abolish them altogether like the IMF, world bank, wto, and many more, if they're gonna keep pushing the interests of a wealthy few who run the economy. What about workers' interests when they get laid off for outsourcing?? Of course, the economists tell us to just, "suck it up! No free lunch! You need your job outsourced and salary gone so your economy can grow." Fuck economists

why should one nation be allowed to go to some idiotic global body for trade issues and force another trading ally to succumb to pressure rather than just go to the ally directly and hammer out these issues one-on-one? The West has to realize (and I am an American so I'm saying this as someone who's living through it) that they cannot continue to control all the wealth. They have to let other nations have a shot and have equal access to industrialization. Free trade with very poor nations, MFN status, neoliberalism, etc. just encourage more dependence on the west rather than independence. The WTO is run by rich elite representatives from the west who think EVERYTHING is a "non-tariff trade barrier."

there has to be a global policeman??? Why not just let the less-developed nations develop on their own, and if they want our assistance, fine, but don't force them into anything? And let the rest of the world as well go about their business. I'm sick of all these globalized bullshit agreements where Western corporations basically control the "periphery" through IMF and world bank 'structrual adjustment' policies, free trade, etc. etc. Let Taiwan defend itself from Chinese attack, too.
