This kid is a true hero!!!!! He stayed calm and cool in an emergency when the other kids were panicking. this allowed him to take control of the situation and avert what could have been a majorly tragic event.
If something like this happened to me or my bus driver, I would've done what Larry did. He was very smart to stop that bus before somebody got killed. He's a hero.
what an amazing kid.. poor thing just lost his father not long before this, and still he's got his mind together enough to react promtly through yet ANOTHER trauma... just increadible... <3
larry did an excellent job of crawling onto the seat and stopping the bus and i agree with u catloverKD everyone would of died if he didnt ride it that day 5 STARS GOES FOR LARRY
My bus driver is 65 years old and he has heart probelms since I im the only one on my bus that knows the bus well so he leaves it up to me to save everybody if he has a heart attack so he said pull me out of the seat hit the brakes when the bus is complety stopped then use the 2nd radio for help and say my bus driver just had a heart attack and I need help
It's a good thing that Larry rode the bus that day cause he saved alot of kids and the driver. When I was in middle school our bus driver got on to the wrong side of the highway he missed the big sign that said wrong way it was a one way street all the kids started to scream because the huge semi's heading our way we got his attention and he pulled to the side I think he got fired we had a new driver the next day it was so scary. Larry is very brave
I am kinda wondering if the bus driver lost her Class B commercial license because of this medical problem. I know especially with a school bus job you'd think that any potentially bad medical problems would exclude the person from Class B status. I had heard about Class B license's when a friend was denied because of a health issue. If she did lose it so she was unable to drive a bus thats too bad
You can lose your regular drving license for medical problems. I don't believe having a stroke is counted against anybody, mostly like someone who has seizures, passing out, etc.
The criteria is that the health condition be controllable. Consider diabetics and those with hypertension. As long as their conditions are controllable, then they are still eligible to drive commercially.
@Toon999kinzpengwo As a bus driver we have three bus safety drills every year and this in one of the things we cover during the drill is how to stop and secure the bus and how to use the radio
i think buses should have like a device where the driver has to continually do something to the bus weather it be steering gas and breaking if they dont do that the bus will automatically stop its like a safety device featured in freight train engines
Omg. Those poor kids... I remember when I was in elementary school, our bus was backing out of a driveway out in the country and ended up in the ditch. The bus almost tipped over too.
I remeber i heard a bus from my old school fell off a bridge because the bus driver had a heart attack... They should make a rule where bus driver have to be 20-30 and have normal blood pressure!
you go larry i belive evryone was greatful for what you did even your bus driver and you did not want to ride the bus that day what would of happend if you where not there...what a blessing ...
i had the best bus driver when i was in school bill was the nicest guy ever had the best time riding that bus to and from school even rode the bus when i was a senior even though i had my drivers license
What a courageous young man! He should be commended for his heroic efforts, and saving the life of his fellow schoolmates including that of the driver.... My hope that the bus driver recovers to thank this young man for his incredible act of bravery.
I take the city bus as a way to get around, and the bus drivers are real jerks sometimes!!
We need someone like Ernistine to drive or Larry! Luckily, no assigned seatings or anything like that on city buses!! Why is there assigned seatings on school buses anyhow?? We should be able to sit anywhere, and say anything as long as the driver does not feel distracted by us.
at the beginning when larry and his brother wanted thier mom to take them to school if she would have and if the driver still had the stroke and if larry wasnt there there is no telling what would happen
omg.. that's the old Ram's stadium.. I remember reading about when they tore that thing down.. that was a long time ago when they were the St. Louis Rams... damn, I'm gettin old. lol
I'm from London England but I'm an American living in New York and I'm a big Steelers fan and I've been down to St Louis before for Rams vs Steelers game and Steelers near enough won all the matchups I went to see down there.
