Piekna melodia, piekny glos, poczatek dwa labedzie, pózniej pozostaje pokazany jeden, napewno ten który pozostal bardzo teskni, koniec filmu labedz lezy. Odszedl z tesknoty?
Nie rozumiem ani slowa, i tak to sobie wymyslilam.
Very good, yet paradoxically rather melancholy to hear this example of a German Swan Song from the singer, so soon after making the recording, compelled to leave Berlin.
Of course! The last two made in Germany were the two Kreisler items: 'Die Liebe kommt, die Liebe geht' and 'Ich glaube, das Gluck halt mich heute im Arm'.
HF Sieben dates these as 15.3.1933, and Weihermuller to the following day.
I suspect the later is right, as there is a matrix gap of 12 sides in the register following the previous sides, which can with more confidence be dated to 15th March. [sorry, I have left out the umlauts]
By the way: Saint-Saens composed the Carnival of the Animals in a little Austrian village - not far away from my home. Therefore the song is something - special for me too.

Thanks, Jerzy!
This was recorded in Berlin on 22.2.1933, less than a month before Tauber fled Germany for ever after being set upon by Nazi brownshirts.

Would you please tell us then what was the very last Tauber's recording before his
travel out of Nazi Germany"...?
Your information and details alway enrich
