  • Piekna melodia, piekny glos, poczatek dwa labedzie, pózniej pozostaje pokazany jeden, napewno ten który pozostal bardzo teskni, koniec filmu labedz lezy. Odszedl z tesknoty?

Nie rozumiem ani slowa, i tak to sobie wymyslilam.

  • Bardzo slusznie, Krystyno !

    Utwor nazywa sie labedz

    a taniec do niego stworzony:

    "Smierc labedzia".

    Nie mam obecnie polskiej czcionki

    w klawiaturze.

  • Czasami trafiam w 10.

  • Very good, yet paradoxically rather melancholy to hear this example of a German Swan Song from the singer, so soon after making the recording, compelled to leave Berlin.

    Thank you very much indeed.

  • Piękny kawalek, nie rozumie slowa ale bardzo mi się pododa.

    5*

  • Błogi, przyjemny głos ...

I te dwa Łabędzie ... Tak piękne i wspaniale pokazane...

    Podziwiam Pańską Mamę.

    Dziękuję.

  • Milo mi.

"Mojej Lili" cialem tu nie ma.

Duchem zas - przez cala dlugosc

    tego utworu !

  • Absolutely beautiful. Thank you.

  • Thanks, Jerzy!

This was recorded in Berlin on 22.2.1933, less than a month before Tauber fled Germany for ever after being set upon by Nazi brownshirts.

  • Would you please tell us then what was the very last Tauber's recording before his

    travel out of Nazi Germany"...?

Your information and details alway enrich

    our knowledge, thank you, Daniel.

  • Of course! The last two made in Germany were the two Kreisler items: 'Die Liebe kommt, die Liebe geht' and 'Ich glaube, das Gluck halt mich heute im Arm'.

HF Sieben dates these as 15.3.1933, and Weihermuller to the following day.

I suspect the later is right, as there is a matrix gap of 12 sides in the register following the previous sides, which can with more confidence be dated to 15th March. [sorry, I have left out the umlauts]

  • Thank you so much - very precious.

I will share it with my friend.

I am also unable to use (here where I am)

    those special characters of my

    mother tongue.

    Best greetings !

    J.

  • Bardzo ladne. Jest sliczne.

    Ale szukam jeszcze czegos innego.

  • Thank you J. for this great version of 'The Swan'! Tauber really had a marvellous voice, the song is very touching.

    Best greetings to you!

    B.

  • By the way: Saint-Saens composed the Carnival of the Animals in a little Austrian village - not far away from my home. Therefore the song is something - special for me too.

  • Interesting fact.

I am pleased to know it.

  • First time I hear this beloved piece sung. What a wonderful voice Tauber had! Beautiful video of swans and ballerinas dancing the Dying Swan.

  • Beautiful !

Special - for You. I know.

    Thank you. G.
