McCain did make it to D.C. and if it weren't for the close-minded liberals he would have made more of a difference. McCain called Obama out on some of his many lies last night and it was so beautiful.
The sad fact is the electoral college will decide this election. Historically, any other party than Dems/Reps will only gain a small % of American votes. Perhaps if we get rid of the electoral college the other parties will have a chance (because they will B heard in the media). Anyway:
McSame suspended his campaign and cancelled his appearance on David Letterman only 2 show up with Katie Couric. Guess he really wasn't in such a hurry 2 return 2 DC. Political stunt = FAIL!
All I know is McCain was definately wrong for suspending his campaign 37 days before the election. Now Obama Has raised up to 260 E.V. & McCain has dropped to 200 E.V. giving Obama a 10 E.V. home stretch to that winning # 270. McCain still needs 70 to get there with only 78 E.V.s up for grabs. He's gonna have a very hard time within the next 29 days to gain 70 out of 78 of those E.V.s w=heras Obama won't have to even struggle to get that 10.
what ever iam a candidate so back off! so dont act like you know me! and obama is not responsible for the Caucasians that got this country in recession the wealthy are going broke and the whites on on crack so nader/mccain cant help you!
well at least some one is trying and corporation are not winning the dow ad nas is down; government cant decide on who to help the people or the corps/corps not deserve it and people do need some money to spend with the corps so your right no one will win.
"write in" Michel Powell1 for president 2008 and beyond!
If in a family the father spent the whole family money drinking therefore the kids will not have money for food or clothes so they-the kids- have to work to keep the father's drinking habits..and may kids will get some food...
McCain showed up after the work was done, he is a sleazy fucking liar. But in the words of Bill Maher, we as the public are too stupid to vote and January 20th 2009 John McCain will be sworn in as president of the US with a vice prez who is a certified lunatic. Again we will have screwed the military, the veterans, the middle class and anyone who wanted a fair wage and great education for their children.
Just wondering if McShithead Mccain will show up tonight for that asswhooping President Obama got waitin for him. LOL! He lookin really scurred and trying to use everything he can to get out of the public humiliation that he is suffering. He probably need to change his depend diaper right about now! I smell some bs from the Mcstupid campaign!
Look at the left side of his face when he speaks. I think he had a stroke! He's too disorganized in his brain to run a country. His executive functioning is depleted.
cant handle the current crises + a 90minute debate how the fck can he handle healthcare the war in iraq economics foreign policy etc... yeah thats a president for ya handle one thing at a time real mccain/palin08 is a joke that the american people dont find very funny at all
We don't need a bailout plan. Let the corrupt banks fail. Let the free market take care of itself. Chase already purchased WAMU. I am sure we'll see more of this. I would rather be in a recession now then have the complete US economy collapse a few years later.
The bailout will weaken the dollar and cause prices to go up.
too bad McCain could have just talked with Obama behind closed doors.... instead of announcing it to the public, which started this thing in the first place...
It didn't have to be public knowledge and obama and mccain could have worked on something without politicizing it.... but he did...
But i'm surprise Obama didn't mention he tried to contact mccain to do the same... so it seems the better leader is the one not showing off...
I like how he suspended his campaign. Then campaigns at Clinton's global initiative this morning sept. 25th. Is his campaign suspended or not. I think McCain is a total loser. He doesn't want to debate because his pole numbers are in the crapper. I think McCain should just drop out of the race all together.

You think the postponing of a night of political jargon (which anyone with half a brain knows the debate answers are pre-scripted anyway) is more important than addressing the current economic crisis?
The politics can wait, and you are right in saying it's a sign of leadership - and I'd commend McCain for having clear priorities.
There will be plenty of debates between now and the elections, but this bill is being passed almost immediately - it needs undivided attention of both parties.
I agree with Obama. This is not a problem that will be solved overnight. In all likelihood, it's not a problem that will be solved in four years, but that's the more realistic time frame. The direction the next president takes matters more than whatever quick fix congress can produce in the next month.
iucragimc: there are plenty of politicians and a sitting president to deal with this. it will only take mccain a few hrs to do the debates. can he walk and talk at the same time?
almost every republican and every democrate has said go on with the debates are you just that much on mcsame diq you dont realize that everyone says they dont need him there?
The simple fact is that McCain would get pulverized in a debate with Obama. His handlers know it and they have decided to avail themselves of the "crisis" as an excuse to "delay" the debate.
In fact there will NEVER be any debate because the McCain camp has realized that a debate with Obama could not possibly help them. McCain is simply no match for Obama.
McCain has always voted for less regulation - and lack of regulation is just what caused the crisis. Forget the debate. It won't happen.
This is yet another excellent example of Obama's leadership potential. McCain tried to capitalize on the moment and stiff Obama. He stiffed David Letterman too. Not a wise decision...McCain.
