Japan has a great system; Make all health care companies non-profit and limit the pay for executives. People should not be making fortunes off other peoples illness or injury. The huge amount of money skimmed off the top by these health organizations (who also own many of our hospitals) is a major factor in the increase in rates and care. The rates on low risk groups have gone so high, they don't feel the need to participate, small wonder.

I have been a physician for 35 years. Not one physician I know supports this. This bill will legalize arbitrary irresponsible government control of both patients and Drs. It will increase costs, limit access and set life saving test and procedures off limits. Affordable, cost effective private insurance will be destroyed, and in the end the great medical practice we all now enjoy will perish. The liberals will finally get to see the medical ignorance they all want.
Health care reform is great. Having the US gov. control health care is socialism. How is Obama motors working out? Obama owning banks? Fannie and Freddie? How is medicare and social security working out? A little bloated and out of control and who knew, Obama wants socialized gov. run healhcare. It is simple fascism. And do not forget that most of Obama's cabinet and advisors are self avowed socialists, fascists maoists and marxists....self proclaimed and proud. He is too...
I think televised summits such as these should become standard operating procedure, allowing the electorate the opportunity to experience an exchange of ideas vs the endless filtering and distortion of ideas we are slaghtered with every time we dial in to cable news or, worse, the radio. My sense is that Obama is laying the groundwork for reconcilaition, as the summit well proved that the GOP has no interest in anything other than blocking health care reform, as is their shameless tradition.
It is so good to finally have a President who is for the American people.

Japan has a great system; Make all health care companies non-profit and limit the pay for executives. People should not be making fortunes off other peoples illness or injury. The huge amount of money skimmed off the top by these health organizations (who also own many of our hospitals) is a major factor in the increase in rates and care. The rates on low risk groups have gone so high, they don't feel the need to participate, small wonder.

Fox news has a couple of shows where insanely biased republicans express their opinions on the news and the guy comes out with some strange ideas.
As far as the Heath Care reform goes I can safely say it's a brilliant idea, I'm from the UK and the free health care we get works very well and costs little additionaly.
My grammar isn't that bad at all, my spelling isn't ace because I tend to type fairly quickly and will most probably make a couple of unintentional typos.

Communism and Socialism aren't the same, just so you know, since you seem to think they're synonymous (obviously you don't understand what communism is). Also, the "light" that Fox news is shining on Obama isn't nonpartisan nor is it unbiased (or correct, for that matter).

The end-product of the healthcare debate probably won't include a public option at all, and both sides agree that the healthcare system needs reform. Either way, nothing about it has anything to do with communism. You can't honestly tell me that Obama has planned a government takeover, since you can't support it with any facts (there aren't any facts to go and find). You just keep throwing around the word Socialism, as if it somehow means Communism is inevitable.

The free market is what made this country great, and the progressives hate that. They cannot stand that a "commoner" can become wealthy with an idea. Progressives are the new communists. They think only they know what is best for us. BTW, both parties have progressives. It is time for a third party to rise and bring America back to it's roots which made us a great nation. Fox news is actually reporting what the people think, not like leftist holes like msnbc and cnn. we will not be ruled by 22% of the population (liberals/progressives). we are mostly moderate, centrist. We need compromise, not forced regulation. We can have decent, reasonable compromise on the things we believe in for this country, but you cannot force the majority to believe the way you want, there will be an uprising, and there will be bloodshed, and I do not want to see that.

Health care how much Hospital waste, Radical over charging, everyone just wants you to sign the paper, no one wants to speak about the actual cost, what are the Med pros hiding, a lot more. Yes the medical Insurance companies contribute to the problem in a major way, but what about the other major contributors. The problem will not be fixed by penalizing one and allowing the other abuse to continue, fix the problem first then consider putting good money into the medical system, but first address the economy. I have been a physician for 35 years. Not one physician I know supports this. This bill will legalize arbitrary irresponsible government control of both patients and Drs. It will increase costs, limit access and set life saving test and procedures off limits. Affordable, cost effective private insurance will be destroyed, and in the end the great medical practice we all now enjoy will perish. The liberals will finally get to see the medical ignorance they all want.

I think televised summits such as these should become standard operating procedure, allowing the electorate the opportunity to experience an exchange of ideas vs the endless filtering and distortion of ideas we are slaghtered with every time we dial in to cable news or, worse, the radio. My sense is that Obama is laying the groundwork for reconcilaition, as the summit well proved that the GOP has no interest in anything other than blocking health care reform, as is their shameless tradition.

One would think freedom loving Americans interested in health care reform would be in full support of a public option as it would allow them to choose a publicly run plan vs a privately run plan. If they happen to believe a government run plan would be, automatically, a disaster, they could choose a for profit plan.The American health care system is presently ranked 37th in the world, hardly an indicator of greatness.
