You should look up Japanese war crimes during World War 2. Japanese soldiers murdered over 6 million Chinese, Indonesian, Korean, and Filipino civilians. The Japanese killed 3.9 million Chinese civilians in just an 8 year period.

Soo, I don't think Moore wrote this series thinking, "hmm hey, i'm going to condition people, especially americans, in the future by writing something that'll be made into a movie." this scene was done MUCH, MUCH better in the motion graphic novel, from the music, animation, even to how it is read. I loved the guy who played Rorschach in the movie but he was far short of capturing Rorschach's true nature.

There is several Alan Moore interview on youtube where he personally reads several excerpts as Rorschach, and in his voice it's absolutely amazing.
