I hate saying this because im a seahawks fan but Wallace is a top 10 WR. I know most people will disagree but that is how i feel. The guy to me is the quickest NFL WR. He has good hands and is a clutch player. I would say if he were to show progress each year in his route running he would be top 3 if not #1. And props to big ben for being able to hit Wallace on his routes. Never realized how big his arm was until recently.

He's the leader in yards since the beginning of 2010.
He has more 40+ yards TDs in his first 3 years than every receiver except Rice, Hayes, and Moss, and he can easily surpass the TD mark from the first two.
Defenses adjust around him more than any WR right now except for Megatron.

Wallace's job is to do what Randy Mos called, "taking the top off the defense." Good for an occasional bomb and it opens up the intermediate routes for Heath, Sanders, Brown, Ward and maybe Cotchery.

So far this season, he's 3rd in receiving yards and tied for 3rd in receiving TDs. If the game depended on a last play hail mary from my own 20, there aren't many receivers who I'd take over Wallace.
@mts1583 first of all if you were on your 20 and it was a last play hail mary they would be playing prevent and he wouldn't be beating anyone... even if you were on their 20 i still wouldn't throw him the ball because i doubt he will catch in double coverage..

@vegastjg dude chill, hes my favorite player ok...Im not saying he sucks.. but most of the passes are easy for him because he runs right past him... but a pass in traffic...is subpar. and in the chiefs game he was wide open in the endzone for a td and slid for the catch and it went right through his hands. He is my all-time favorite player by far and just stating the fact that his hands arent amazing. hopefully you are a steelers fan and you will understand.

@acenace24 Well that, and Mike Wallace is actually relevant throughout a game. DeSean Jackson is good for one big play here or there, but is absolutely irrelevant 99% of the time. On top of it all, Jackson leaves any game where he takes any decent hit, he is frail as they come. This is coming from someone who isn't a Steelers fan, quite the contrary, I just know who their good players are.

Speed kills. Most elite WRs don't have more than one REALLY impressive attribute aside from Moss's speed / height combination, which only Megatron comes close to. Rice was even a well-rounded guy more than being someone who was the biggest or fastest.

He's a top 5 WR, and capable of being on that elite tier with the big 3 WRs in the league.
He's the leader in yards since the beginning of 2010.
He has more 40+ yards TDs in his first 3 years than every receiver except Rice, Hayes, and Moss, and he can easily surpass the TD mark from the first two.
Defenses adjust around him more than any WR right now except for Megatron.

Wallace's job is to do what Randy Mos called, "taking the top off the defense." Good for an occasional bomb and it opens up the intermediate routes for Heath, Sanders, Brown, Ward and maybe Cotchery.

@ghettovolcom u need to rewatch this video alot of passes are caught in tight coverage and he has works for that extra gain on contact. he has the ability to create seperation with his speed and drive through with his strength....when you take a receiver like Desean jackson one hell of a player thats a fact but due to his size which makes him so fast. he doesnt have the strength to drive through tackles. @ghettovolcom and you're right. 1 catch doesn't prove anything. Last year, Wallace was 5th in receiving yards and was tied for 7th in the league with 10 TDs. So far this season, he's 3rd in receiving yards and tied for 3rd in receiving TDs. If the game depended on a last play hail mary from my own 20, there aren't many receivers who I'd take over Wallace.
