  • Looking awesome Cody, can hardly wait to see it put together!

  • When do you expect to be finished with this job? Looks excellent!

  • Cool! Good job!

  • Looks sturdy & once those oak dowels are in place it will be solid as a rock!

  • Love all your work, but i'm a little suprised you didn't put a sharper angle on the frame so you had a higher roof space. Any reason for that??

Looks great though. I have just finished my roof too, smaller project though :)

  • Looking good!

  • @wranglerstar Could you make a guess a the total man hours invested in your project? (Including acquiring the timber and think time).

  • great job bud, the steep angle on the roof, for snow? more attic space?

  • Awesome job sir!

  • the triangle

  • Awesome! Congrats on selling the house!

  • Well done sir. I really like your joinery. Solid but not more complex than needed.

As for the perlins I would suggest a square mortise with the tops cut to the angle of the roof. At least for the top perlin. The rest going down both sides can be set in at the angle of the roof.

    Great work sir.

  • I can't wait to see the finished product. I love the fact that the entire process is documented. Your future generations will treasure these videos. How much knowledge has died with our ancestors because it wasn't documented? Cody, you are an inspiration.

  • Nice job Cody, what type of roofing material will you be using ?

  • @rchopp I think I'll use steel

  • One piece at a time...I'm looking forward to seeing the finished project...This has to be such a rewarding journey

  • good job dude.

  • Looking good Cody. Keep it up.

  • Looks nice Cody.Did you sell your house yet?

  • @larsbadboy yes we did

  • Great work as always! Cody, I ask with no criticism, I was wondering, is it harder to do a 45 degree joint than a 90 degree? I noticed that the top joint was a 90?

  • @westtexasprepper its a bit harder but not bad

  • @wranglerstar Thanks Cody, keep up the good work!

  • Great work Cody...
