As for the perlins I would suggest a square mortise with the tops cut to the angle of the roof. At least for the top perlin. The rest going down both sides can be set in at the angle of the roof.
I can't wait to see the finished product. I love the fact that the entire process is documented. Your future generations will treasure these videos. How much knowledge has died with our ancestors because it wasn't documented? Cody, you are an inspiration.

Love all your work, but i'm a little suprised you didn't put a sharper angle on the frame so you had a higher roof space. Any reason for that??
