If you were reading Matthew 24 and someone placed another chapter right in the smack dab middle of it, wouldn't it throw the prophecy concerning the discourse on the Mount of Olives all out of kilter? Well, thats exactly whats happened in the book of Daniel, and thats why the "whole world" has been under a certain amount of deception. You absolutely "must" put the 10th and 12th chapters of the book of Daniel,back together, then read it that way....

@barbsinclair Camping is a false prophet. He has already predicted the end of the world for September 6, 1994 & May 21, 2011 & now he is saying the earth will be consumed by a fireball on October 21, 2011. He is predicting about 200 million people will be saved & the rest will be killed. Camping's credibility is shot thus it would be hard to take him seriously in any discussion about end-time eschatology, even if the debate was 30 years ago.
I agree Camping is a false prophet. I believe God judged him and put him in a sick bed, but in 1980 he hadn't made any predictions. In this debate Camping skillfully represented A-mill view; but I must admit Walvoord excelled defending Pre-mill view. The debate is 6hrs and worth the time, because much more scriptural texts are dealt with, especially OT prophecies. I have listened to it 3 times for study purposes.

I appreciate these guys sharing their views, but I wonder if either have studied out Historicism letting the Bible (both Old and New Testaments) interpret symbols and meanings over extra-Biblical sources. May the Spirit lead us as we each study out God's Word to His honor.
