Cool thanks for reply. I'll get those. I have only recently become a Mike Oldfield fan so am looking forward to hearing those. Amarok is quite cool (and original) but I dont like 60 minute listening length. I like to listen on blocks of about 20 minutes . Anyway thanks for reply..

Do not ever divide Amarok on listening blocks!! Not that I want to say that it doesn't work that way, but it really doesn't work that way!

It is, maybe, the best musical piece of work done till now, and you only grow up on it when you give it a full listen.

While 60 minutes can be fatiguing, give 2-3 listens of full length, and you will find out the harmony of the universe in it...

I dont think I ever listened to it in one go. Maybe did that once. I still like the track it is original. a bit wierd though, whats that "happy?" sample about!

So far my faves are incantations and ommadawn (especially part 1). That is not including tubular bells.

@Simon0 QE2 is a cracker, Amarok is one of my faves, some people can't listen to it but, it is a bit head f'ky but it has so many magical moments, it's got like three endings? Songs Of Distant Earth good too, it's based on an Aurthur C. Clark book and the music has a sci-fi feel. Actually I'd recommend you just get everything you don't already have. His song era stuff good if you like songs, let's face it Mike is a living legend! Saint Mike perhaps?

the tubes in the video are the simbol of tubular bells, but musicaly these tubes are also intrumens that people use, but doesn't make a great sound but together it's cool

great! Oldfield is a fantastic composer, although in the last year, he seems too much repetitive in his compositions. I love Amarok, TUbular Bells, Ommadown... but his last albums, haven't got atractive like the firsts, i think.
