Great video. I like the storyline and the treathening atmosphere that you created. Such a epidemic / pandemic could be a reality with H1N1 or SARS or bird flu, swine flue and mexican flu. Very futuristic, fast moving Endzeit account, apocaliptic, lone wolfish! It reminded me of the book "Two Journeys" by Clemens P. Suter, have your read it? That story is also haunting and addresses also the rise of feudal states.

H1N1 is considered mild, its just a new flu that most of us aren't immune to, because it is new. Just because they claim its a pandemic, doesn't mean it'll end mankind, some people will die from it, but its not deadly to most of us.

Shoulda held 'em off up the stairs.

Start by picking them off from an upstaris window, then, if some aren't discouraged and break in, get 'em coming up at a choke point, the stairs.

A little military training and a lot of planning helps a survivor survive.

My dad does a lot of disaster relief, so when everyone was freaking out over the Avian flu, he feared panic being the real threat. I needed an idea for a student film and that sounded pretty good. I'll have to check out that book.

One suggestion? Cliches can be visual, too. You ever watch Pitch Black? You know, there are some fine scenes in that movie...but they're totally drowned out by the herky-jerky movements of the camera. Special effects are nice, but they shouldn't distract from the story.

That said, you have some very real talent. I especially loved the exploding head (was not expecting that at all!). You've obviously done your research for this movie.

He picked the wrong place to position himself to fend off an attack. If he had positioned himself on the stairs or at the top of the stairs, he would only had attackers coming from one direction. He would have had total control of the upstairs unless someone came in thru an upstairs window which is not as likely. Better luck next time. Oh wait, I guess there won't be a next time.

The WHO actually agree with some of the concepts here. Society will implode. It did last time in 1918 when H5N1 struck (they called it the Spanish flu).
