Those of us with Native American blood remember a time when we denied our heritage, due to the extreme bigotry in America against Native Americans. The great price of that time period is the loss of our geneological record.
All I know is at least 4 or 5 generations past I have a paternal Southern Colorado or Northern New Mexico Pueblo (no record of which pueblo) Indian lineage.
It is a great loss when we don't know where we came from due to shame. Thank goodness we can now be proud of our lineage.
Thanks again Mick. That is how our countryside looks right now with Fall upon us, but our temperature has been very good also being around 70 degrees F this week. As for the title and music, I'm trying to stay connected to my ancestors as best I can.
I hope my ride to heaven is as peaceful as this. I love the Indians understanding of gifts of God's world and how much they respect our earth. Thank you. Nice ride. I felt like a peacful bird.

messabout...Is that the road that you go from up Tupelo Pike to where you come out by Skyline to the right? When you got to the T it looked like it.

Good observation, you are exactly right. I added a little drama to the video but yes that is the road, one of my favorites in the county.

One of the rewards of the simple life. I was on another one today even less crowded. I'll have that video up tonight or tomorrow.

We all need peace in our lives and a good relationship with nature meets that need for many of us.

Isn't Eagles nest a nickname for Hitler's home? to be honest, i think traveling is boring. And i cant stand long periods of times in a car.
krajikevin 5 years ago
No, I think that was "buzzard's nest" Sorry to hear about your short endurance span.
