It looks to me that the masters are teaching structure and color value which is what I try to explain in my video. Color value is very important when leaning structures.Understanding how marble is formed and understanding color are just the basics, Notice the badger brush is barely used. This is the most over used tool in the business as a phrase Sean C. once reffered to that Pierre F. has quoted saying and I believe it to be so......and this is from the masters....

Thank you for posting this video. You are a true craftsmen, artistan, I wish they would teach true oil base techniques like this in the USA. This is true decorative painting!!!

oil based can give an exellent finish but is brittle & yellows quick & in some cases disapears altogether when exsposed to sun light.....to mix up your own transparent oil glaze mix whiting,a little fullers earth,boiled linseed oil, a turpintine & whisk together then just add artists colours
