I have the same problem with a bigger RC car, open up its gear box, and you will probably find a gear that has 1 or more teeth missing, too much torque from the motor for the plastic gears.

ive never had trouble with my xmods but my guess is that the gear from the motor isnt hooking up with the gear that truns the wheels and some how you need to ajust them. Hope this helps.

I had the same problem once. Its either the gear mounted to the engine is worn down or the engine is just not screwed in tight enough. You don't have to take apart the whole back of the car. To check if the gear is worn down just unscrew the two screws that hold in the engine and take it out. Hope this is helpful

problem:the gear spoke inside the gear is broken

solution:i did was tighten the gear to each other.

to do that disassemble the back of the car.

then in the gear has a nail thing in both sides

in the biggest circle in the nail will hold them together and the small circle in the nail will disassemble the gear(to check if your smaller gear is broken inside)(be carefull its very small)

use finger board tool(fits exactly the same) to remove or tighten them together

Had it happen to me, tighten the screws holding your motor down and for pete sakes when you hear you gears grinding like that, don't gun it. You might have stripped them out now and tighting for a better gear mesh won't help you.

Try to spin 1 of ur wheels at the back and if the other wheel didn't turn at the opposite direction, you might have a Differential problem, but if not it's the motor spacer, change it to the right measurement..

No it is the gears. You can even hear the motor spinning. Why would you think it is the bearings/bushings? That makes no sense, and the radio shack bearings aren't that great.

Its the motor take it out buy a new motor it just the motor it brobily hut somthing and knocked the electonics in it about. hope i helped!
