3:58 I just did that,now how come when I chop up that one long bar. Using the Chop option, it doesn't allow me to chop it or drag the pieces without using the menu? For example if I try to chop the little squares which I highlighted it only deletes the whole squares?? If I can get with this I be greatly appreciated. Thank you

@wicketts16 at the top of the piano roll, click where it says Velocity (to the right of the instrument name). Select Note pan from the menu. At the bottom where he was adjusting the velocity then changes to the panning screen. Now you can pan the individual notes. You can do the same with hihats to get that Drumma sound as well.

@faNNpost045 in your step sequencer (the window with all the red and black blocks) there a small window it should be a greyish color to left hand side in the window it will have this by default - - all you do is click on it and slide up or down to extend the amount of steps

@TrulyBlackJesus u have ur step sequencer automatically at 1 bar (4 squares).. jus click on the top right corner n u'll see the numbers change (change it to 8) which is 2 bars.. hope that helps

What I really found helpful was the chopping tool, I had no idea how people did super fast snare rolls till now. Hell I've made 2 albums worth of dance and techno without ever adventuring into the toolsO.o

its not that its a long part, but when you do normal mode in FL studio it defaults to 4 beats per bar. what he is using is a normal 8 beats per bar, its the same thing as 4 its just longer and sometimes helps the artist understand and feel the beat, better. Many people who make this style of music tends to due 8 beats per measure.
