the first time i heard efterklang i thought something like: omg this is such a crap. who likes music like this?!

a week later my sister buyed to tickets for their show in aarau (switzerland) and i had to go, becaus my sister want me to.

i was really pissed of about this fact, but after the show i was just like: omg this was one of the most beautiful evenings in my entire life. and since this day i fcking LOVE their music!

really... go watch them live. its just AWESOME!

Depends on what you mean by "music this good" like do you want something extremely close to this? Then yeah first off Anathallo is probably the closest to them that I can think of, you might also enjoy some Sufjan Stevens, Yndi Halda, some more recent Andrew Bird, and as a stretch possibly The Radio Dept.

@choketillyoupop Efterklang are too unique to really suggest something that's actually similar and anywhere near as good. You might want to try Peter Broderick, though. He's Efterklangs violinist, and a very, very talented multi-instrumentalist. His solo work is a lot less textured and busy but has a similar tone, similar vocals, and is just as fantastic.

I like how in the video, when it gets to "You wrote a novel...", unlike in the album version where it gets kind of darker, it stays happy... I mean, I prefer the full length version, but this is pretty unique for a video to edit the song so well.

Efterklang is the best band ever in my opinion. I've yet to find anything as good, or anything that sounds similar. GREAT, GREAT, GREAT song, great video!
