that chevelle ss most likely started life with a 396ci v8 make a good amount of power. no doubt thats been replaced by something well over 500ci making a least 600 horse. that challenger rt didnt stand a snowball's chance in hell. plus the unadulterated noise coming from the chevelle was just magical.

This was not a heads up race. That was a qualifying run so each car could estimate their dial-ins.  That '69 Chevelle was either a dedicated race car or a full boogie street machine to run a 10 second quarter.
