  • that solo is awesome. fukkn iommi pure genius

  • The lyrics ring true probably even more today.

  • Love the early Sabbath!

  • they are calling it qzzy and friends cause it'll be ozzy geezer and zach wilde

  • I don't care how low they tune their instruments, or how much they scream lyrics about killing people, modern metal bands will never be this heavy.

  • HEY EVERYONE! Go to the video for Headless Cross and make fun of the singer! It's so much fun!

  • Sabbath never got enough credit for their socially conscious tunes. Wicked World, A National Acrabat, and War Pigs for example. And they're much cooler than U2 and those other bleeding heart softies.

  • I love Ozzy and I love Dio. But when I think of Sabbath I think of this album and every single terrifying song on this album. Definitely succeeded in scaring the hell out of people.

  • 42 years of this release today. And still fresh.

  • i',m so stoned, love this so much :)

  • the guitar sounds like wildchild by the doors

  • Skinless did a decent cover of this, but you can't beat the original!

  • The World Today Is Such A Wicked Place, When A Legendary Drummer for A Legendary Band can be Fired by a bitch who is a judge on America's Got Talent.

  • @Anticrombie918 Dude, Sharon had absolutely nothing to do with Bill Ward's leaving of Sabbath. Read just about anything about Sabbath, Ward was always the drama queen of the band. Sharon isn't even the one managing Sabbath. Ozzy, maybe, but Sabbath is an entirely different entity.

  • @FormOfKorn I realize... when I posted that, there was something online that specifically said she fired him and replaced him with the dude from Ozzy's solo band. One of the big sites heard it and perpetuated the rumor.

  • @FormOfKorn She's managing Ozzy, the lead singer. and she is bitching about who will be backing up her lead singer. She has even suggested calling the reuinon "Ozzy and friends" WTF?

  • @drockkclapton yeah man WTF, how can you call them that.

  • THE WORLD TODAY IS SUCH A WICKED PLACE

Fighting going on between the human race

People got to work just to earn their bread

While people just across the sea are counting their dead

A politician's job they say is very high

For he has to choose who's got to go and die

  • They can put a man on the moon quite easy

While people here on Earth are dying of all diseases

A woman goes to work every day after day

She just goes to work just to earn her pay

Child sitting crying by a life that's harder

He doesn't even know who is his father

  • Charlie Bird satan music!

  • @ KxK96 shut the fuck up.

  • Wonder how Ozzy got Sharon to pose for that picture.

  • @TheMarkster1957 Do not mess whit Sharon. -.-

  • @elmatapollos69 Why not?

  • @TheMarkster1957 She's Ozzy's wife dude. D:

  • @elmatapollos69 Sharon is a bitch that only wants fame and fame and FAME but I wont keep saying true shit about her only for respect to Mr. Osbourne.

  • @KxK96 she is though aint she making a parody of the oz

  • @KxK96 hell yeah, that bitch paid motherfuckers to pelt iron maiden with eggs, even the other sabbath members hate her, remember the "digital bitch" song is believed to be about her.

  • Black sabbath 2012 mothafuckaasss do you feel me????

  • CLICK FOR AWESOME GUITAR SHRED 2:56

  • @bmathers21 guitars not shit without bass.

  • I don't have this track on any of my Sabbath albums! I came across this by chance, was it on a special edition?

  • @TheB48964 its not your version of the first self titled album?

  • @bwhiteman12 I have the deluxe edition of the self-titled album. Can't believe this song isn't on it!

  • @TheB48964 WHAT?????? then it should not be called deluxe!!

  • @MADRAVN420 I know! I feel cheated!

  • It is just me, or Satriani's Satch Boogie is really similar to the intro of this song?

  • Jazzy and bluesy mixed in to metal

  • "Jazz Blues, Rock' Kush". Rolled' up Into a Blunt. Exhale it and you get Black Sabbath!

  • Two words. Tony Iommi!

  • @ALEXKRIM59 Even missing the tips of a few fingers...

  • @ronman6 Bill and Geezer aint too bad either.Nice to see another Sabbath aficionado on here.

  • Please just try and show me riff that beats this....for me in the dictionary under the word 'riff' there should be a picture of tony iommi, because he made the word actually releavant.

  • listened to this since i was 4 years old. Have stuck with it my entire life. The music made today is absolute shit.

  • one of the jazziest songs done by a heavy metal band.

  • @codebabe I love it! THere should be more metal songs and bands that play songs like this!

  • sadly still rings true, just in different ways

  • I've listened to this since I was a 14 year old. I am now a Christian stay at home Mommy. Can't put me in a f-cking box!!!!

  • bons solo

  • This is a Wicked World we live in..........lol

  • One of the first songs I learned to play on guitar.

  • Of all the debut albums of all rock groups, this still stands as one of my personal favorites! If I were given 10 albums to listen to for the rest of my life, this would definately be one of 'em!!

  • I listened to this song this morning at about 10:00. I must have come back to listen to it at least 10 times today. AWESOME album, AWESOME song, AWESOME band!

  • 0 dislikes. It better bloody stay that way!

  • @Cocytus999 i disliked this video

  • @aixelsydevahi1 why would you dislike this..this is great stuff.

  • @KingsField418 i know it is, i'm just proving a point. who gives a fuck.

  • Why... Why is this cut short??? Then again, it's the live version on my iPod...

  • Sounds a little bit like Zeppelin to me :D

  • @FrequenzaDisturbata We used to have the conversation of wether the first metal album was Zeppelin 1 or Sabbath 1. I always said that Zep was a hard rock band where Sabbath was a metal band, but I've been disagreed with many times. There definitely is some similarities. Both Awesome!

  • The solo in this is a spawn straight from Hell. Badass. Not too hard to play, but fucking fun. Love it. Love it love it.

  • Jammin!

  • Yes, very nice. Although I bristle at the "Satanic" label, since it's obvious the band members never considered that as anything other than a joke.

  • @promisedeyes - neither do I and that is how I use the word. I mean, how the heck are you going to devote your life to excellence in music if you really believe there is nothing in the future except bondage to Satan? The beauty of the music and the use of "Satanic" references in the lyrics is, in my opinion, like going to an extremely dramatic, over the top metaphor to make a point. This is accomplished both by the lyrics AND the sound. The latter being my favorite part.

  • So, I'm a 50's rock and early 60's Motown/Stax kinda guy, but I also love this album. This track shows how jazzy, blues rock was able to evolve from cool guitar licks like Les Paul, to overdrive distortion like Cream, to cranking the volume past 11 to "Satanic" like Sabbath did. And it's not really that it is loud or distorted in volume or even tonality. It's more like you took the swing of Gene Krupa, combined Les Paul w/ Link Wray on LSD, and then Edgar A. Poe on vocals. Creepy cool.

  • If your into the jazz thing as i am and definitely into Sabbath check out this tune on Black Sabbath Live at Last.Geezer,Iommiand Ward do their own individual solo's jazz style. This is by far my favorite album(cd) from sabbath the 1st one.very raw hard and heavy.

  • @BigJH37 50's rock is like ancient mann. It was like still forming, not even really rock. How old are you?

  • @TheFooFighter2 to me true rock began with the British blues boom with the yardbirds in the mid 60.

  • @TheFooFighter2 There is only one "n" in "man" unless you are referring to Michael Mann, exec producer of Miami Vice?...I'm 41, but I try to listen to music as far back as recording technology allowed. Seriously, Edison tubes, wire recordings, anything that allows us to hear the origins of music. If you consider 50's rock & roll not really rock, and "Ancient" you are obviously not knowledgeable or mature enough to really have this discussion.

  • ...Pick up some Fats Waller or Muddy Waters and then talk to me in a few years after your balls drop and we might be able to have a more meaningful exchange.

  • @BigJH37

    or just sabbath :D

  • @BigJH37

    The swing of Gene Krupa?

Damn...how much meth have you done?

  • I only shoot heroin into my ears, but obviously not as much as you if you can't hear that connection. Actually, I don't do any sort of drugs, but I can see that many folks here who don't get the tie to jazz, swing, blues, and 50s rock&roll must be either stoned senseless, or perhaps...yes, (sigh) ...oh the blissful ignorance of youth. Ask Ozzy, or any of the founding members. They loved, (NO, worshiped) 50's rock and jazz. So did Clapton, Hendrix, Zeppelin, and yes - Dave Grohl too!

  • @BigJH37 Simply put there my freind and spot on in the facts. Lets hope this gets read to educate a few good souls.

  • @BigJH37 ...Black Sabbath?

  • i love this song! one of my favs sabbath is always so good at great bass parts just like rush

  • This is Black Sabbath!!!

  • @brankometalac No shit...
