Funny how they both got it wrong, Plato's Tenfold Error, was not to be divided by 10 or multiplied it was actually supposed to be halved, the correct beads in this machine, if it ever existed should have been 5 beads.

@Ryuukazi Actually, if it's tenFOLD, it means it's either 10 times more or 10 times less. So one of them actually got it right and the point is the machine never worked as it should and that's what destroyed the Atlantis. Nur-Ab wanted them to think otherwise and lure them so that he could rule over the world again (that's why he never spoke of the destruction). Such sophisticated plot with a superb ending is what makes this game stand out and makes the whole story a worthy Indiana Jones story.

@forenschwafler The first LucasArts CD talkie enhanced remake with full speech was Loom in 1992, followed by Fate of Atlantis (May 1993) then Day of the Tentacle (June 1993). I still have all these original CD-ROMs and they are still playable on ScummVM and DOSBox.

Sadly the comic only follows the game to a degree.

I am not so happy with the idea of the Horned Ones being aliens as I thought the Atlantians obsessions with bulls came from the results of their earlier experiments resulting in human bull like creatures.

But the idea of outsiders providing the Atlantians with technological knowledge to begin with would explain some things, as would the mutant slave revolt mentioned in the comics.

I think you meant Gravus UltraSound, not SB Pro. This sound is actually what SB Pro sounds like. SB used Yamaha FM synthesis, Gravis used sampled sounds, that's why Gravis sounded better than SB.

Well, those two are the only "endgame" endings. However, if Indy fails to convince the Professor of using himself as the test subject, Indy will suffer the Professor's fate, while trapping everybody inside the ruins due to the explosion.

Also, if you get a game over, after Jones' death, a short epilogue (AKA a bad ending) and a score appear. However, I don't know what does said epilogue recites...
