You created different and dramatic colors in this piece. Small hands, arms and body need to do more movements then us to creat the tone color, voulme of sounds, running scales and notes all over the keys on a grand piano with heavy touch for today use. You have a good teacher that have all those kinds of knowledge! Congratulations!

the hand mostions as crzy4lotr said are often unnecesary. The beginning was slightly too fast. overall pretty good. the wrist motions get distracting like (someone). she's an amazing pianist, but all the motions are get distracting and if even more motions are added, you will find yourself watching an actress, not a pianist. :) just some suggestions

Mozart Fantasy is a beautiful piece. I think that Valerie played really good. Her dynamics are hear-able, her techniques are amazing. I think I heard one misplayed note, but overall, she did wonderfully! :)

I love this piece and this is an incredible rendering for an 8yr old. I can't stand to hear thunder1909 question the rhythm. The piece is a fantasy and is about expression of the musical ideas not a slavish devotion to tempo. I had the same nonsense criticism of how I played this as a child. All it shows it that you really don't understand the piece(or music) at all. My only criticism would be that perhaps you give it too much tempo too early in the a tempo section at the end. But congrats!

she is extremely talented for a young child to play a hard piece from Mozart. My sister is older than her by one year yet she still has some difficulties with this piece but she plays ok. Valerie and her sister are great musical geniuses

Valerie, my biggest concern with this performance is your rythm. I can see you trying to be musical is places, getting faster, slower, or louder. But you have to remember, this is a classical piece where you cannot do that. It is unporfessional, and a wrong approach to Mozart in general. Plus, the places where you do change your rythm are exaggerated, and at times very unmusical and sour. Especailly at the start (andante) and at the alegretto part. Did Mozart write accelerando? Needs more work.

I don't know why all the exaggerated hand and arm movements. Will we hear from this lady in the future? It seems everybody nowadays can play anything and everything on the piano. Who can possibly be on top?
