That was most likely planned. When people were brainstorming the baby scene someone probably came up with the idea of making the baby cry.

I'm just going to take it as a joke when you said "the baby must know him" considering his brain probably isn't even developed enough to let him remember being in this video. And obviously they did not wait for the baby to start crying and then start shooting.
