@Mandar1979 that's not true. BlackBerry messenger works fine after you unlock it. BlackBerry devices automatically configure the APN settings when a new SIM card is put into it if the Blackberry is unlocked. If it doesn,t then this can all be manually configured.
I find that this Iphone 4S will be going out of style and more phones will come in the market with better options but what will not be good is being stuck in a CONTRACT for a long period. Phones can get ruined or lost before the time of Eligibility but people can't wait because they would need a phone. There is a solution for getting a new phone without any high cancellation fees at CAdotCELLXCHANGERdotCOM

It asks me to sign in with a blackberry ID when I insert the new sim card.. When I try to sign in it says that I've inserted the wrong password, even though I know its correct. I even tried reseting the password from my computer.. Any suggestions as to what I could do to get past this step? Because it doesn't let me access anything without signing in.
Hi there from MobileUnlockIt. With over 540000 FREE Unlock codes in store. We are one of the number 1 suppliers of free unlock codes in europe. Codes work all over the world States, Uk etc. Our website – MobileUnlockIt(DOT)TK
i have att and how will i get the mep code? do you guys give it to us and will it work anywhere? and is the mep code the code we had to find in the beggining?
@Dsi595 you would need to purchase the code from our website. You'll get the code in about 3-5 minutes. When purchasing the code, you would need to provide the IMEI from the phone and the network carrier that it is originally from. Then you would input it into that phone. MEP codes (unlock codes) are unique to each individual device since the IMEI is different on every device.
3G capabilities will still be the same, but remember that the network that your'e trying to use the 9900 or 9930 on has to support the same frequencies.
@samuelvic it will work on any GSM carrier. If you unlock the 9930 it will work on any GSM carrier as well as the 1 CDMA carrier that the phone is originally from.
@BilaalM10 Insert an unaccepted SIM card and it should ask you for one unless someone has already unlocked it. You can check that by going to Options => Device => Advanced System Settings => SIM Card => Type MEPD. If it says Disabled or inactive beside the Network category, then it is unlocked. If it says Active, it is still locked.
@cellfservices I put in a rogers sim card and then it asks if i would like to type in the Network MEP code and i press "YES" and then it does nothing... like no field for me to type in the code
If I use this method will that have any affect on BBM services or anything like that? Basically.... if I unlock it using this, will I have a fully functional BB or will some settings be disabled etc. I am hesistant to buy it without more info because its damn expensive and if i cant unlock it fully its pointless. :)
hi i am gonna buy a blackberry bold 9900 but i am confused whether to buy it locked then unlocked it or just buy the unlocked version could you tell me what is the best thing to do?
I had the same question. im about to purchase this off of amazon. it says blackberry bold 9900 unlocked.. but before i purchase i wanted to know what carrier.
what carrier do i place as for unlock? canada rogers?
@AbeBayBayy If it's unlocked, then it's unlocked forever. You would need to find out the carrier by checking the vendor ID and then matching it up against a list of BlackBerry vendor ids.
I just bought a BB 9900 on Amazon and received it today. The title of the product clearly stated "BB 9900 UNLOCKED", but guess what - I insert my sim-card and it gives me an error....My question is: how do I know which provider this phone is locked to?? Thanks.
If i buy the phone locked to rogers or whatever carrier, and me living outside the united states/canada is it still possible using any other sim card to unlock the phone and work for my current carrier? Cheers.
Ok i have my unlock code to unlock it FROM rogers. Problem is : when i type mepd , it refreshes the screen an all is gd. BUT when i press mep alt+2 nothing happens at all...
I am using however my current sim card, not the target sim card which i do not havr yet because i am still deciding on other carrier... Does it matter? Cant i just unlock it without a new sim? Like other blackberries?
@iCyberGamer For some it works and others it does not. That's why we went this route by inserting an unaccepted SIM card into the phone to get the screen to pop up. Cheers
@HPjordan23 Yes but that requires technical expertise. If you have done any IT work or anything like that you can google on ROM replacement which takes 1 hour and analysis with USB connected to your computer + latest version of BB Desktop Manager + ROM of carrier you want to brand it with. You can also change the logo to a .bmp of what you want (non carrier) if you have one of the editing tools. Again not for the average user.
@kidprettykool1 it is rumored that T-mobile will have the 9900 on August 31 at a contract term price of $299. Keep in mind - these are rumors and it could come earlier or later.
@dylondillijent if you bought the code from our website, contact support and they'll help you out. If you got it from somewhere else, you'd have to contact them. I know that with our technology as well as our support team, we have never had a problem with BlackBerry codes where the phone is NOT hard locked or already unlocked. Good luck!
cellfservices, I have a business proposition for you! I am planning to make several videos on youtube, some relating to blackberry bold 9900. If you send me a free code I will advertise your company/website on my videos. Inbox me if you accept!
@hangene92 we answer general inquiries here on YouTube as I work in the social media area of Cellfservices. We do not barter for free codes unfortunately. We do have promotions on every once in a while and ongoing promotions for free unlock codes for phones that we do not have unlocking videos for. Again, that is not in our area, but you would have to contact our support team.
its useless unlocking this phone because even after unlocking the phone the BBM services would not work on it ...
