Both shows are good, but the messages they have are different.

Geass is about Black and Grey Morality, and has darker themes involving genocide, terrorism and vengance.

Gurren Lagann is about believing in yourself, overcoming the odds, and kicking reason to the curb in favor of determination and valor.

Both are still mighty fine shows to watch.

cuz of their voice actors in the dub? since Yuri did simon/suzaku and johny did rossiu/lulu? but in terms of characters rossiu/suzaku and simon/lulu makes more sense, since both rossiu and suzaku turn into total traderous hypocritacal A-holes despite the fact the main character totally saved their ass. ***SPOILER***SPOILER***

I get chills every time I see a Giga Drill Break...and I've watched the series over 5 times in the course of about a year, watching my favorite parts of it at least once a day.

The show bleeds epic. The final battle is proof of that...even though the Tengen Toppa is the size of a galaxy, it could still have been just as epic if they were the size of ants.
