Translation: when I was growing up, going to or coming from school, I used to listen to othaadi - a specialty in our neighborhood (Basin Bridge). It used to be played at funerals, and I played this rhythm many times, in the studio and for films. Today, when I play with American drummers, they are great, but when they hear our local beats, they are pumped up as to what this rhythm is. I say, this is our othadi ... as the procession enters the cemetery, the beat gets faster, it's amazing, tune in!
U are truly me inspiration!
