  • Radio Zet w streamie ,ale dobre Polska rulezz

  • Where can i buy this phone..

  • @vahren7 well its probably out of production now, so you won't be able to find it new anywhere, ebay would be a good bet for something used or craigslist or just check your local phone shop :D

  • Hi..Im Niranjan...I've seen ur review..Its really gud..I've been using this phone for more than an year..I bought this phone from India..And i really love it..As u said, this phone has all the features that u want for it price...Anyway..good review..Keep it up..Expecting more...:)

  • thanks, for the great 3 part video! Very good review. And I loved the fact that you mentioned that Nokia is unmatched and unparalleled in the candy-bar shape design segment. I am looking to buy this phone pretty soon... I am dumping Verizon for this phone!

  • Ok 4 months later lol, i used nokia n79 for like 3 years, loved it, and camera was awesome, much better than the one i got on my htc desire...HOWEVER desire is a sriously good phone, call quality even with shit reception is really good, i can pick up a call in a noisy bar and hear it!!, browsing the net i not bad, doable, facebook and all the usuall shite posting etc works good... anyhow.. i like party pics miss my n79 SO GONNA get a compact camera... over and out.

  • @rOxxxaz also the keypad is a tight squeeze, if you've got big hands, it will get tiresome to keep on using it

  • @rOxxxaz you can if you use fring :D

  • can u view youtube in this?

  • @965halfevil yes

  • @AlphaClassAndroid tahnks man helped alot m gonna buy this :)

  • nice video, have the same but white version.

  • I saw some Polish radio stations saved that handset, ;D

  • @majtybabci :D went to school in poland, listening to polish radio is a bad habit of mine ;p

    i'm not even polish :(

  • your phone is hack?

  • no, everything is standard, symbian and maemo(nokia's os) are pretty open and free, they let you do whatever you want

  • sorry for being boring, but could you explain me more closely this method of changing region..

    I'm not familiar with "nss"..

    tnx in advance

  • well that's the thing, i don't have fm transmitter as the option in the music menu or anywhere else in the phone.. i need that software, can i download it?? tnx 4 response

  • ah ok, you've probably got a firmware version that blocks it, some countries force this

your best bet then is to update the firmware to a different region

you can do this via nss on your own computer and finding a firmware number for the region you want to change to

    head to a shop($)

perhaps if you've got nokia centre in town they would do it for free. tell them you want to change the firmware to asian for example (thats the one i have and it has all the features)

  • i've got silver n79 and i don't have fm transmitter in it. how is that possible?? Can i download it somehow?

  • no the fm transmitter is built in.

goto the MENU, then goto MUSIC, the last entry will be FM TRANSMITTER, click OFF/ON and also set the FREQUENCY to whatever is unused in your area, then tune your radio to the frequency you set and you'll hear your music stream from the phone to the radio

  • hi alpha~ me again :)

wanna ask you about the phones buildquality~ does n79 black cover paint drop easyly?? my snony phones paint drop like hell~

sry for my english~hope you understand~

  • hey, the face and the back of the phone - screen and keypad- are solid and coated in some tough material so i think they'll be pretty safe. the sides(glossy black/chrome on the white phone) seems like it would get scratched up though

  • where did you make the purchase?

  • picked it up in the uk, you can get it on ebay(black) or amazon(white) for about the same price

  • thanks, im thinking about the black one

  • yea then ebay is your only choice if you're in the states

  • hi~ juz wanna ask~ are yhe n79 keypad easy to press?? like smsing??

  • they're wide spread apart so easy to feel around for them, as far as pressing, they do take a bit of pressure, but nothing too extreme, you'd get used to it in a week or two

that being said, if you're a really heavy texter/emailer, the keypad will make you cry, but for the avg person it works fine

  • how is the battery life like on this?

  • running wifi all day, playing some ngage games and taking a few camera shots + 1 3 minute video, having the streaming radio on for about 4 hours total, and making a few phone calls, it lasted from 8 am to 12 midnight

if i'm running it at a normal pace, ie just mainly some calls, occasional webbrowsing/streaming radio(1-2hours), it'll last me a little more than 2 days

  • great review! I recently bought a nokia N79 too and when i capture a video in night mode, there seems to be lag (the picture isnt fluid). I dont have this in auto mode. Do you have this also? thx

  • hey, that'll happen with any camera phone or even a dedicated camera when they are in night mode
