Don't know why you would want internet on here.. The web browser locks up on the AT&T media net start up page. I just wanted a cheap phone anyway with dual sims. It texts, makes, and receives calls fine. In a way I should have spent $40.00 more for a lower grade android phone, it will do for 90% of the stuff I want to do..

Yes, it is a 3G sim card (prepaid account). However, some of these phones the 3G sims won't work in. I have one phone with two sim slots...the 3g at&t sim only works in one slot. My t-mobile sim worked in both slots. I can't say enough that if you haven't bought one of these fake iphones, then don't...they are just awful quality-wise. If you already got one, well, I hope it works.

Pay-per-use internet is standard with all at&t plans, including prepaid plans. Pay-per-use internet is currently $2/mb on contract/bill accounts and 0.01/kb on prepaid plans. So, the internet should be on by default (but will be expensive without a data plan or package). If these settings do not help, it is possible that the internet is not on your account, and that would require a call to customer service to ensure internet is active on your account.

I'm sorry. My model doesn't have wifi capabilities, so I don't know where or what settings need to be changed to allow your phone to use your wifi connection. I'm sure the answer is out there on the internet somewhere, but I certainly don't know it. :-(

leave it blank or all 0s. the proxy is not in the gprs data account but in the wap profile. at&t does not use the DNS settings.

you should be able to access myspace, at least in some limited way.

i do NOT recommend this phone at all. it is fairly lame and chintzy.

You can't directly deactivate it, but if you want the internet not to work, just activate one of the wap profiles that has the settings for some other cell phone company.

yes, the settings vary by carrier (vodafone, t-mobile, o2, etc.) and by country. If you expand the info box under this video, you will find a link to an article on my blog called: Settings for other carriers and countries...I've got the settings for several UK carriers there (but they could be incorrect). Try them out, if they don't work, you can always contact your carrier for the correct settings.

yes, you would need to call your carrier (telstra, optus, vodafone, etc) and get their settings (apn, username, password, homepage, proxy ip address, proxy port).

the settings i show are only for at&t, which is a carrier in the US.

hi, I think it stands for "american telephone and telegraph" or something like that. it is an american telephone company that originally started back in the 1800s. In the UK, you would need to get a sim card from t-mobile, orange, o2, vodafone, or whatever. but the settings i show in this video are only for at&t sim cards.

if you are thinking of buying this phone, keep in mind that i don't particularly recommend it.

sorry for late reply. unfortunately, my phone does not have wifi...so I don't know the details for setting that up. however, you will need the settings for whoever is providing the wifi service (it may be public)...this will not necessarily have anything to do with fido...unless fido is the wifi provider.

I went through this process and the internet does work for me now for the I9 phone. But, its in chinese. How can I switch it to English? I tried calling *#0044#. Also, I went into Settings>Phone Setup>Language>English. But however the internet still comes up in chinese.

yes, it is because websites detect it is a chinese phone and display themselves in chinese. the only ways to fix that are (1) find an "english" link on the website, (2) visit english-only websites, (3) download and install opera mini to your phone and use that to browse instead of the phone's built-in browser.

I bought Dapeng T2000 iphone clone which is th ebest clone because it has a physical qwerty keybaord attachment. I have everything workign with AT&T except video streaming. Although I was able to get video streaming working through wifi by putting my phones IP into the DMZ on my router....I cant get it working through GPRS. Would you know what could possibly get this working so I can stream youtube from anywhere through GPRS?
