@field16 -- we were 4 guys between 19 and 26. Three of us were brothers, The costumes weighed 40 pounds so we sweat tons -- 10 T-shirts a day. As Bingo I once was treed by a rattlesnake while shooting in Griffith Park (Hollywood.) Another time I ran the Banana buggy into a cyclone fence I couldn't see. Anyway, 2 of us are visible w/o heads at the Facebook Banana Splits site, under pictures.

Yes, Paul Winchell was one of the voices. He also was Tigger. He also was the owl on the Tootsie Pop commercial, and the voice of the "scrubbing bubbles" on the tolet cleaner commercial.

He was a ventriloquist who had his own TV show with his dummies Jerry Mahoney and Knucklehead Smiff, and an inventor who designed one of the first prototypes for an artificial heart.
