  • @MsBin74 no shit

  • @MsBin74 Same :D

  • Ronnie Lane was rubbish

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • You may want to check out Ian McLagan and the Bump Band. They do some

of Ronnie's songs and they are great. Ian's work is great also. I'm so glad we

still have Ian and Kenny Jones, we are lucky to have them...( :>)) I hope they

take care of themselves....so no smoking boys...and go easy on the booze...

that stuff will kill ya!!! I'm sure everyone will agree...we are all selfish and want them to stick around for a long long time...RIGHT!!!! TE..HE ((<: )

  • AHHH RONNIE....You make me smile!

  • these much appreciated clips of ronnie lane are priceless. this is class and just a reminder for us thatchers spawn when counting our property prices that were all just passing through in life. gonna play it again now

  • I Ronnie's music with Slim Chance, just such a shame that it is so hard to get :(

  • class song by a class act

  • Bliss!

  • Wasn't this the song where in The Passing show they talk about recording it live out in the backyard? At the very end of the song you can hear kids playing. It gets cut off on this version however. Beautiful song and one of my all time favorites for sure.

  • this picture is bow road, east london, the bridge still is an advert for perodo tyres or was up til last year when i was last there and scans the nick and the court both of which i've sadly graced. god bless ronnie lane indeed. god bless all of us!

  • If it wasn't for the enormous ego of Rod Stewart this album may have never been made

  • God Bless Ronnie Lane!

  • Steve Marriot was surely the talent but Ronnie was the soul. Shame more people haven't viewed this wonderful song of Ronnie Lane's life as a gypsy. RIP, Ronnie

  • @ZZJoCa Ahhh, I cannot agree with how you percieve them.

  • @Khultan If you mean soul as in music style, I agree with that. Myself, personally, I don't much like the later Steve. He's gritty and soulful and lord knows, ain't anybody nobody that sings anything better than Stevie. What I meant was, Ronnie was the kernel of the org group style. They both needed each other to create the genius they were . It's an argument like ' which child do you like best? Lets agree that the world of music would be much poorer without either.

  • @ZZJoCa Okay, fair enough, I can agree with that.

  • @Khultan Just in case you're not familiar with Stevie's discography try Ogden's Nut Gone Flake. Try this and then fish around. Try: Rene the dockers delight

  • @ZZJoCa I am, in fact, discovering more of their songs and thank you for tipping me off about, "Rene The Docker's Delight".

  • @Khultan Hehe, that song will stay with you forever.

  • @ZZJoCa Yes, they are cathartic. Soul healers is what they are forever.

  • @ZZJoCa I thought so too...until I looked into Ronnie's body of work! That man was, as you said, the soul and, in many ways the driving force, of not

just Small Faces but Faces as well. In my humble opinion, Ronnie was every

bit as good a singer as Rod! Maybe not as unigue as Rod, but Ronnie had the

talent in every area to carry the show! All together, or stand alone, Ronnie Lane

is a LEGEND, as I feel they all are! Isn't that why we are all here! (:-)

  • @kathykay2010 Well said, obviously a true Ronnie lover. Voice, smile with an incredible song writing talent.

"And it's one for the road and it's one for the cat's eye and it's one for the white light, that's taking me back home"

"One for the Road" Ronnie Lane & Slim Chance

  • My very favourite too.Anymore for anymore is what auctioneers say before they bring the hammer down.Think it was written about the buying of his farm The Fishpool.Gorgeous song!

  • i never thought of that! that makes alot of sense and gives the song new meaning to me, thanks.

  • Gotta be one of my favorite songs. Of all time! The thing is, I'm not really sure what the lyrics mean. Anymore for anymore??

  • "anymore is too much for me, im gone and on my way"

anymore for anymore, as in doing any more any longer won't do. i think its about moving on but its imagery screams gypsy. packing up goods and chattels and treasures on a wagon to travel the country. ronnie obviously has a fantasy idea about troubadours. check out the documentary "passing show" it goes into depth about ronnie's planned traveling variety circus of the same name.

  • absluetly fantastic ...real brittish

  • @luke200202 Surely you mean BRITISH and ABSOLUTELY old man! Pax to all from 'SoulBoy'Smith.Xxx.
