I used to dream about playing football for a living just like any other kid, but in the end it takes a lot away from your life. You lose your childhood and then the chance to have a university education (Dhorasoo had to give up economics studies to pursue his career) because so much time is dedicated to football. And during your career you are very much cut off from the outside world. And then once you retire, when your livelihood has gone, where do you go after that?
Just shows how empty and cruel football can be, it's more to do with his simply not playing in the team. I'm starting to feel the same way as a supporter, it's just that in the end there is more to life. Football is nothing but worship of wealthy individuals now, there is no soul in it. I don't envy footballers, not even for the money. When you have so much and all you want in life is granted to you is when you begin to lose purpose. I'd rather live modest and happy than rich and unhappy.
in England the INdians called him self British asian. I think that is the reason that she said: . Actually it is not true because the first player in world cup with Indian(hindu) blood was Aron winter from the Netherlands. He has played on the world cup 90,94,98 and Europian champions: 88,92,94,00.He has change his name from Actually it not interresting me who was the first indian player in world cup. I am always happy when a indian plays in the world cup
Vikash is of Indian decent. But his roots are from Mauritius. Without having those roots, he would not have been the player he is/was. Im sure he has creole or french ancestry. He is not your legitimate indian player like u claim he is.
this might be excessively late but he is indo-maritius deceseant. and belongs to the telgue community. his maritius part of him were alnl decseants from india. no cerole or anything. maritius has some french, indian and so on but his part is from the indian portion. he is your legitimitmate indian. the only reason i can see others wanting to disprove this is becuase they just dont want any person of indian deseant to be good in footy. which i feel is the background to yourtheo
@pikepike555 uhh no.. wiki says his ancestors migrated TO Mauritius from India. You're "sure" he has creole or french ancestry. lmao sure that is a very convincing argument.
I'm quite unimpressed. Most people would love the lifestyle a professional footballer is afforded by the fans. For him to complain about sitting on the bench at a World Cup is a kick in the teeth to the people that work 50 hours a week to pour their extra money into going to see their team play. I'd trade lives with the poor guy.
mate think about it! whats your job say your a lorr driver n ur forced to sit in the office instead of driving..ud be annoyed. thats his position! that he couldnt do his job to the full potential cos he wasnt playing. everyone wants to be challenged. thats all he wanted to do. prove himself etc.
By Asian they mean a person from the Indian subcontinent, right? Japan, Korea, Saudis, Iran, etc, have been playing in WCs for years. So they can't use the word Asian to mean Indian in this context. I'm looking forward to the movie actually, it should be very interesting.

He is a very sharp and funny guy. He was a good player but he'll probably be more successful as a celebrity in France.

I think Vikash's has a legitimate complain
He is/was a very good player - at the time when 2006 world cup was played.
But sadly for Vikash - his style is very similar to that of Zidan, which is creative MF and not a ball winner.
As a coach you can only play Zidan/Vikash
I don't think there is anything to be ashamed about playing second to Zidane he is a good player !!! Sadly he was vs Zidane !!!
