Yeah, Penn has admitted in several contexts that the way he talks on Bullshit is not typical; it's mainly out of necessity for the show. Most of the time his speech is actually pretty clean. Hard to imagine after 8 seasons of the word "cunt-pickle", but it's true.

Everytime I have seen this trick Penn's dancing cracks me up

It's easy to figure out even if they dont show you because when Penn picks up the box hir right hand comes through the left hole in the box and when Teller sticks his left hand through the right hole. and it his torso was actually in the box his fingers would flex in the oposite direction when he waves the yellow cloth because of the position he would be in.
