@foofication The $4,300 was for the concrete alone. I purchased the hoop separately. (basketballsale . com / wilson-72-stadium-glass ) I paid a local company $400 to install the hoop. Trust me, you don't want to do it yourself. The hole for the post goes 4 feet down.
@foofication Initially I was going to make it 25'x30'. That would have left only 2 feet beyond the rim and 2 feet between the 3-point line and the edge of the concrete. I ended up adding another 2 feet so that it is 27' (long) x 30' (wide). I went with 2.5 feet behind the rim and 3.5 feet between the 3 point line and the edge of the concrete. I'm very happy I added the extra 2 feet. The whole project turned out great.
