As much as I like AFI, this performance kinda sucked. The guitar was too prominent in the mix, and along with that, Jade's playing was way off.

My guess would be that his throat was really hurting in the beginning from the last song.

What song did they play before this one, that day?

(Back (before this show) when he had his "monster", during rehearsals, he'd seem fine while he was singing, but then, out of the random blue, he'd suddenly be on the ground "in the fetal position" because of the terrible pain in his neck.)

Well, yeah, I know that, but what I mean is, maybe he still has complications every once and a while because of past damage done to his vocal chords and throat. ...or maybe he had a sore throat (from an illness)...?

Well then he's had way to many sore throats... He's sick a lot during the DU era. At this show.. Davey was worn out from all the touring in 2006. After he rested for a few months, he did fine. But at almost acoustic christmas his voice cracked in every single song.
