I love this film, it's one of my favourites and alot of my friends haven't even heard of it before I asked them about it.

I don't like the song you used for this though, quite rubbish compared to the film and doesn't really go with it.

Oh wow, that was an instant favorite!!!! this is one of my all time favorite films I loved it so much, the ending always made me cry, Matilda was always so happy with Leon after what happened to her family, nicely done instant favorite.

Jean Reno and Luc Besson have been friends for a very long time (as they have been with Eric Serra as well)

and Jean had always had minor roles in Luc Bessons movies but he really wanted a leading role & Besson saw how important it was to Jean so when he wrote the script to Leon he put a lot of thought and passion into his writing and before he even began writing he had Jean Reno in mind for the lead role. Mel Gibson and Keeanu Reeves wanted the part, thankfully neither got it

i cant agree with you more, the directors cut is far superior to the origianl score, it goes a lot deeper into the relationship of Matilda and Leon, providing imagery that is in my opinion a contributant to best film moments of all time. a beautifull tragedy, my favorite film of all time.
