  • Badger's expression at 6:08 when he goes "OH.NO." is brilliant.

  • @HelloGoofball iv been up for two whole days including night time!its that awessome!

  • @HelloGoofball hell I'm on my second run and I only finished watching all 3 seasons last week.

  • After watching this I was forced to go and shoot two pheasants to vent my fury.

  • Badger: OH! NO!

  • owl: *yawn* "you want meee to help?" *yawn* lol what a selfish owl xD

  • Who cooks a bird with it's feet still attached?!?! The wife's just as crazy as the farmer!

  • is pheasant's grieving meant to be funny? :'(

  • Of course not. The other animals are just insensitive, plus the writers needed to move the story on. They also needed some comic relief, to lighten things up for the kids with such a terrible thing happening but his grief itself isn't funny.

  • bloodthirsty farmer!!

  • Lol at 5:53 adders eyes stay in place xD

  • Lol poor Pheasant all the animals are paying him out. :P

  • aaa yes i agree

  • Me too.

I wouldn't miss an episode back in the day :P

  • Man, this show is addictive...

  • It also turns you into a furry (It worked for me, it can work for you too!)

  • ...

  • @therewerewolves Agreed. Holds up while other toons have aged.

  • "I forgot pheasents are not very good at flying... we will be here till christmas at this rate!"

  • Badger: What we need is a volunteer.

    -Silence-

    Weasel: Popular, isn't she!?

    LMAO, I love Weasel.

  • It was a shame that the male pheasant died, because it seemed that he was going to turn into a better person after the death of his mate. Pheasants are also beautiful animals.

  • Its kinda a pitty for the whole speices. They look nice, and taste kinda nice too.

  • I like pheasants, but the farthing wood pheasant was a prick.

  • too right but i kinda like him in this episode

  • When I watched this when I was younger, I got really upset when the pheasants died because all the reptiles and birds were my favorite characters.

  • ah right well i like adder and kestrel

  • I love the music they put with Adder!

    I agree about the conspiracy

I didn't know owls had superiority complexes

  • "I quite agree, that adder gives me the willies!" haha

  • burst out laughing at this

  • Haha I love how analytical everyone is being about it!

  • AAAAW! i cried!!!!!

  • That crow's a bit nasal

  • It's just ron Moody with a peg on his nose! :D

  • I'm sorry but how do the animals know about christmas?

  • Mr.Pheasant was selfish, but now he is upset because like allot of people today, it is not until the person dies is when you realize all they did for you. Now Mr. pheasant knows he was wrong and he feels sorry for what he did. I feel bad for him, and i hate the others for not caring Mrs.pheasant died.

  • yeah i agree. but mrs hare did care.

  • wow! I never remembered adder and owl, having a sort of conspiracy! Adder maybe... But Owl, shame on you.

  • poor pheasant

  • I feel Mrs Hare was sorry for Pheasant but it was a bit annoying for him to keep going on and on so she lost her patience. She's a nice female hare, who like Mrs Pheasant was worthy of a much better husband

  • If Adder and Owl were humans, I'd probably slap them.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • stupid pheasant! Bit of a conspiricy going on between adder and owl isn't there lol!

  • Sucked in pheasant.

  • I really like the part with Owl & Adder in the barn. They're both so cool :D

  • i dont feel sorry for pheasant at all. he was mean to his wife even when she was trying to help him, he was a selfish pheasant.

  • he was but he is sorry for what he did to her

  • I loved this, even though I was only 3 at the time! But have it on VHS as my Mum filmed it off the TV. The music played once Pheasant arrives back at the farm (5:12) is probably one of my favourite and most memorable pieces throughout the whole series, I was always humming along to it.

  • Lol! I love the Hare playing the air violin...

  • @alexrogers15 That got me all happy when Hare played the air violin.

  • how come pheasant tells toad not to metion the farm because of his wife, but then he volunteers to go back to the place where she was shot? daft. though you have to fell sorry for him

  • poor pheasant

  • I agree with BatSnakegirl I never liked pheasant but you can't help butget upset. The music gets to me too, you just know what's coming

  • @Lorric101, "the siege of white deer park A giant cat...Im not sure what type, but one that uses trees invades the park. Many get killed, mainly the smaller animals, Hares, Rabbits etc...but one of Bold's cubs, Husky, is killed by the creature.

Important note: in the Books, Bold&Whisper had 4 cubs. The only one named was Husky who dies in "TSOWDP". Plucky was the son of one of the other 3 cubs and is thus Fox's Grandson...in the Books

  • It's weird, I'm not getting those little E-mails to tell me you've replied to my comments. I only knew about the last one because of Nanyuki, and this one because I checked back. Could you tell me how they stop the beast? Perhaps a leapord or a panther.

  • Anyone?

  • Dunno. Ive only read the original book

  • Took you a while, eh? The E-mail came in this time.

  • Sorry, Been a bit buisy and i only found the your replies today

  • Poor Pheasant! Not one of my favorite characters, but I find myself tearing up right before he dies!

  • Yeh me too :(

  • The music played during Pheasant's Death is the most memorable of the series

  • The deaths get worse, don't they. First, we are simply informed of the newts, then we know what happened to the female pheasant. Next we see the male's anguish, then later on the butcher bird's gruesome work, blood and all, and scarface tearing into animals.

  • Too bad they never adapted Siege of White Deer Park. That really racks up the body count.

And in the original Book of the Rat war, Toad and Mossy were killed.

  • Siege of White Deer Park? If you hadn't mentioned the Rat War, I would have thought that was what you were talking about. Who/what sieges the park? Who dies?
