MY UNCLE ZORBA trailer on you tube.........fun!! OPA!!!!

  • Doesn't matter what your ethnicity is, family is important ;)

  • This movie reminds me so much of my family, and my family has even said it reminds them of themselves - I'm not Greek, I'm Italian, but the two groups definitely have a lot of culture similarities (my grandma watched this and she was like "They're basically Italians!").

Una faccia, una razza/Mia fatsa, mia ratsa!

  • This is pretty much exactly my family. Except instead of windex it's like vinegar or metho. Love this

  • Reading all these comments, is making me proud of having a full greek background

  • Wow! Never thought that this is the Highest Grossing Rom-Com film ever!

  • It's very sad that Greece is now in an intolerable economic crisis

  • @BayAreaOrBust Its sad America is too, I live here :\

  • This is one of the FEW movies that I can watch over and over and over and over and over again and still laugh out loud at the funny scenes... even though I've got them memorized by heart.

    Never gets old.

  • I'm Italian and that means I've something greek,OPAAAAAAAAAA

  • "We told her that the war was over but she still slept with a knife under her pillow" That is why I love old people. no that is why I love her grandmother

  • Also, (sorry to de-goof one of your goofs) but when the flashback scene finishes, she is wearing a different top because it is the next day. Her mother comments 'You closed up last night and opened this morning'. Thanks for posting though. :-)

  • @sarnieken no its the same day when she went into flashback because she opened restraunt at 5:00 AM in the morning which is what her mother referred to by saying this morning, it's a goof

  • Zhto h Ellada<333

  • hahaha omg i'm Persian but her life's backstory is SOO similar to mine xDDD especially the part about the blond girls and her being all dark and stuff xD

  • there are two kinds of people in this world- Greeks, and everyone else who wish they was Greek.

  • thumbs up if you ask you friends to give you a word any word.

  • Haha thx 4 uploading this , your the only person that i know has uploaded it without saying '' Go on so and so website to download the real movie '' :D

BTW: Im half greek , irish , english and australian :DD and im happy to be half greek!!!

  • Dear fellow watchers, this movie made my lifes dream to be with someone who is Greek. My dream has been accomplished (: Only in my story I'm the one with the big Mexican family and his is very small. Love my Alexi sooo much <3

  • Thanks so much for posting I really needed to watch this for film class!!

  • People shouldn't really take this movie serious as a perfect reflection of a Greek family. I'm Greek. My parents don't own a restaurant, they wanted both boys and girls to be well educated and do what they like, in Greek school we didn't learn about goats but actual grammer and history which helped me a lot for English school, I've never met a nice Greek girl, my grandparents never hated Turks since they were born 20 years after independence, and we live in a normal house without a Greek flag.

  • I'm latvian, which is an entirely different culture but my family is exactly like this.

  • haha Lindex

  • wow shes really pretty at 5:01- 5:04 or is that her sister?

  • I wish I had a crazy family like the greek yes I would love that very much

  • Actually us Jews invented humor, payday loans and hocking loogies. I'm a Spanish Jew and we are way too much like this movie.

  • @cstewart7581 ha i dont think anyone invented humor, i think its probably more of a natural thing

  • Really weird: the way Greek families are portrayed here looks a lot like the Persian side of my family (e.g. kooky and really obsessed with their food and culture)

  • why is this shit movie available but i cant find meet the parents!

  • @ leafyutube no the Egyptians did!

  • Unfortunately my family are as crazy as this lot...........

  • i dont know about irish people but i think they are like greeks....i have irish in me and my relatives are like that.

  • dont now how many times ive watched this movie... but everytime i watch it; I like it moreeee :) Opaaaa!!!

  • I'm greek and i find this movie a piece of shit.

  • The Greeks invented humor.

  • i'm romanian, and romanians are pretty much exactly like the greeks in this movie :D

  • I am greek. This whole scenario is just about how greeks are- well, some of them :D

  • I love this movie. Even though I'm not Greek, I totally understand the feeling of being between cultures and not fitting in either side.

  • i love this movie so much!!! :D

  • she's got a very meeean punch!

  • i need a greek woman lol

  • 12 year old Toula is cute!

  • I love this movie it s hillarious but things in greece aren t like that xD don t want people getting the wrong idea about us lol

  • I'm half greek and half korean and my greek side is exactly like this but crazier!!!!

  • @beatricexox aww what a combination :)) who is from Greece? dad or mom? :)

  • @GogoBlondeful My dad. But my dad is different from my aunts/uncles/cousins. He is extremely quiet!!!

  • @GogoBlondeful i wanted to ask the same haha

  • @beatricexox I agree and I'm 100% Greek.

  • @beatricexox WOW How did the half Korean and half Greek thing happen? Sorry, but I'm a little curious =)

  • @sush1994 Lol I dunno. My dad was the only one to marry an asian :P

  • @beatricexox

    fucking KOREAN HALF ASIAN

  • @beatricexox Bet you look stunning!!! :-D

  • @dpjaexp Thanks :) I don't think so but you're very nice to say that,hehe :)

  • Thumbs up if you're Greek! OPA!

  • i never get tired of this movie :P

  • Thanks for posting this! It's lots of fun to watch!

  • they need to learn the a Σ is not an E seriously

  • @skyrosforever lol, obv it's for entertainment purposes only.

  • I love this movie cause it is exactly like my Croatian family! Loud.....curious, loud........ obnoxious and bit more loud :-)

  • lol I loved this movie. We used to watch it as a family . . . . xD

  • This movie will always be special to me. I watched it while I was in labor in my hospital room.

  • @goombabear Wow, this would be a good movie to watch :) I hope you had some epidural, too, though. The humor probably helped a lot.

  • @TheWishfulDreamer Yes I did, didn't feel a thing.

  • Esta pelicula la podria ver 1 y otra vez xD!!

  • at least the teacher seems patient and fun and not annoyed easily heh heh

  • I love Greek food they always try to make u fat lol

  • I laugh at the scene where Michael Constantine is cleaning the cars' windshield. It's a '71 Cadillac, but it's sporting the orange license plates that were used in Illinois in 1969 LOL A really fun movie, I enjoyed the crazy people!

  • tell your dad when you find love then you will get married. You should do what makes you happy

  • Shouldn't it be romanized as My Big Fat Grssk Wedding?

  • Didn't Toula played sister mary patrick in the movie sister act?

  • Omg thank you so much for uploadng this! its my favorite movie ever!

  • Did anyone else notice that the title was made to look like a wedding cake? ..

  • i luv how u wrote down the goofs, observant

  • @bennettcullen Why is that?

  • @sexydds2010 ooohh:))) are you sure about that?? he gonna drive you crazy :)) am kidding..they are good guys :)

  • @GogoBlondeful lol. I guess i have to try to find out. Do u know any good greek guy?

  • thanks so much for this amazing movie in amazing quality !

  • Isn't it amazing how Tula goes from " get away from me ugly", to very doable! I like the father Gus in this. Him and his Windex bit is priceless. I liked this movie a lot. I grew up in the 70's/ 80's in Chicago.

  • who knpws the name of the music this movie starts with.????

  • No way? you can upload movies to youtube?? *watches* lol

  • i have this movie and its a cute one!i think what would really be something is a greek marrying a mexican lol!!

  • I can really connect with Nia Vardalos... both, infertility. :'(

    I love greece, and I'm mexican. :D

  • @potionsmistressful oh im sorry <3 adopt a baby from greece!

  • GREECE ROCKS!

  • 4:20

  • nia vardalos is gorgeous !!! :)

  • I would have loved if they had made a Part 2. Lik,"r My Baby Brother's Big fat Greek wedding" or Toula's daughter getting married to Greek man in Greece and calling it, "My daughter's big fat Greek wedding."

  • My mom has been planning the Big Fat Italian wedding. My plans kind of went out the window and she took over.

  • thanks so much for uploading

  • They are beginning this series in the United States tomorrow.

  • 6:40 and my ugly gaygreek father brought an old stinking ugly gaygreek whore! lol

  • most beautiful part of the movie, that sums up being a' hyphenated-american',

'mommy , do i have to go to greek school?'

''yes, but i promise you can marry anyone you want."

  • thumbs up if you replayed the song at the beginning =D

  • 3:24 what a bitch

  • My mom's side of the family is Persian and they behave like this quite a bit. Fortunately my mom was smart like Toula and got sick of the crazy relatives and habits early on.

  • I love this move

  • as a Greek a liked this movie.

although, to be honest, I was a bit annoyed with the "anti-Greek" attitude of Toula!

but in the end she compensates!

  • @BigNick157

Her attitude was pretty justified though lol.

  • @loner1878 yes i was not clear. I was a bit annoyed because a Greek family is not that exaggerating as the movie shows. but I understand that it's for the movie.

for example the spit is a fact but not an actual spit! actually we say "ftou sou" (the sound of the spit) without of course any saliva coming out of our mouth :P

  • @BigNick157

I'm part Greek myself (my maternal grandmother is a Greek/Persian mix) - I know the movie is exaggerated for humor also but I've seen my share of crazy family gatherings lol.

  • @loner1878 :D

  • @BigNick157 Was she being anti-Greek or just didn't want to be only defined as being Greek? I see this quite a bit in the Polish community. The immigrants who come to the states still want to keep traditions and attitudes of the old country while their children want to be identified as their own individual rather than only being Polish. I think that's what the Toula character was trying to do.

  • @mjg032 definetely it's not 'healthy' all your life to be surrounded with your mother country in a foreign one but I think that keeping in touch with the traditions and attitudes, as also with the language (as much as possible) is very important. thanks for the reply, nice answer

  • @BigNick157 Good point. Wish I knew more about my culture. My Great-Grandparents never talked about Croatia. I think it had a lot to do with the painful memories of there. Which is why they did come to America. Still, it would be nice to have learned about that culture. I guess I can learn on my own. Peace!!!

  • I'm Portuguese and my family is exactly like this one. There's a woman who wears all black and runs around screaming things in Portuguese and just yesterday I was talking to my dad and he said "No body tells me anything anymore." I swear, the similarities are scary.

  • BULGAROALBANIANS PRETENDING GREEKS......

  • I love this film but this film was shot in TORONTO and why couldn't this story take place in Toronto????

  • Uh oh the grandma she doesn't like Turks hahah I'm married to one!

  • 3:04 American culture can be cruel ... I'm not Greek but my mom is from a different country and my dad is American... But I was treated the same way as Toula was in elementry school.. I was a swarthy 10 year old with side burns lol.... Gosh it suxed! And now I'm married to foreigner also.... I understand this movie so much!!

  • Greeks look like Latinos

  • @KingDcome11 ¡verdad!

  • @KingDcome11 I work with alot of Greeks, they tend to look more Italian/Spanish.

    They're very friendly

  • @EffLabels yeah that's what i think, they do look latin !

  • @KingDcome11 Latinos looks like Greeks (Don't forget that ancient Greeks colonized the whole italian peninsula thousands of years ago).

  • @KingDcome11 See the faces of famous Italian actors, directors etc (Pacino,Stallone,Scorsese,Coppola family,Cardinale,Belucci etc etc etc are all from south Italy, Magna Grecia).

  • put some windex on it

  • The young Toula is so cute!!

  • I know what musaka is and I LOVE it lol I'm not greek tho :P

  • Omg. Thank you for uploading this!!! I love this movie! One of the best out there! :o)

  • aww i love this film! its so funny :)

  • @XXCRAZYXXKOOLKID

yeahhh. But inna way it works out cuz in Japan you wear Kimono's only in the winter.

  • i love greeks

  • Toula is very lucky. My mom made us pray everyday when she was driving me and my brother to school.

  • How can people dislike this movie..

  • my grandmother still sleeps with a knife under her pillow because of the turks LMAO

  • u think i am smarter than u huh. i run the restaurant, i cook i clean i wish for u, i raise 3 kids and i teach Sunday school u know lucky for me i have u tie my shoes.

  • My Big Fat Greek Wedding movie is so hilarious

  • klassika pragmata...

  • They seem like a bunch of right-wing greeks, communist greeks on the other hand are way cooler and smarter.

  • lol the dad relates kamono to greece when it's from japan :)

  • lmao ma fav part is wen da dad saiz.."you sgud get maried soon.....u luk so....OLD"

  • hahah this reminds me of the family guy episode

  • The incredibly fast and sudden transformation of the bride in the beginning is totally unbelievable and comes out of nowhere. After she still looks like a dog. The groom is a big teddybear who's only function it is to be nice an smile sheepishly all the time.He has practically no character development. The whole film is geared towards the happy 'surprise' ending of them finding true love, which is kinda obvious from day one becos the film is a total rip off of all the similar marriage comedies.

  • @Ranlon IT is about Greek culture and what it is like to a greek woman over 30 to be unmarried and finally meet her dream guy. Problem is he is not GREEK! Greeks really are that fanatical about being Greek. A woman over 30 who is not married is seen as a bad thing.

  • I always come back to this song just to watch this first part with the Greek song :)

  • "When I was your age, we didn't have food." lol

  • I just now realized the father, before he starts talking, sits down and soaks his elbow in a bowl of Windex while he eats! Bahahahahaa! I love this movie!

  • The 26 dislikes are Turks lol

    God Bless beautiful Greece forever!!

  • @EffLabels Or everybody who wished they were greek
