  • lol you guys are fighting like kids lol plus none of ya asses have witnessed war so shhhh.. Anyways newtons suck ass

  • I am clocking about 10-11 min/mile pace barefoot, do you think its possible to run in the 7's \barefoot ?

  • Personally, I took a leaf out of Paula Radcliffes book - run frequently in a variety of good fitting shoes and you'll build the strength of your feet up. If you wear one pair, your feet may become dangerously adapted to them. I have cushioned shoes for long/slow runs, minimal shoes for races, trail shoes, and an old pair I use in my lunchbreaks at work and a 5th pair for the gym. I have considerably increased my mileage without a single complaint since running in lots of shoes!

  • @RunPJs Paula teach you how to use the streets for urinating as well ??

  • @USA4thewin That jokes a bit dead now, you're obviously not a proper runner. Why are you even commenting here?

  • @RunPJs old/new does not matter facts are facts, stay hiding in england you cheating sons of bitches.

  • @USA4thewin Only 2 facts the way I see it. I'm a runner, and you're an idiot.

  • @RunPJs There are no runners in England. Somalian muslims or lets see you guys beg us to let you in the US to train.

And dont worry am not looking for your stupid approval for running we already kicked your ass in a war and we can do it again.

  • @USA4thewin Actually the US have never won any war by themselves. If you're talking about the American War of Independence - you were supported by the French and Spanish, like you've been supported in every war in your very brief existence.

Anyway, a war between US and UK will hopefully never ever happen as we are both nuclear powers! End of discussion.

  • @RunPJs facts are we kicked your butt in a war. You come from a Shit country, We come from a GREAT country the US of A we got guns you dont even have a buck shot. dont talk to me about a war we would blow your stupid Island under the sea in a matter of hours.

  • I had the EXACT same experience. I wish I had figured it out before those 30 days were up. Like you said- it is a lot of shoe especially where the shoe meets the ground - it felt too weird to be right and left me sore in all the wrong ways (IMO). Totally changed me up in a way I didn't like. Money down the drain :( oh well sticking to my komodosports from now on. I feel ya.

  • Mate, if you're running faster isn't that a good thing?

  • Hey,I've been injury free for about 20k mi.I would really recommend resistance trainin. The Newtons are meant to help you run properly. Now some people can't run N them due 2w.e. reasons but I think that ifU RT'd.then UR hamstringsWouldn't bother as much.RT'd train N stretch. There is nothing better.A lot of ppl are quick to blame their running injuries on everything but theirselves. I think if you step back and really analyze the situation. You will be a better runner if you strengthen your body.

  • I'm not sure about if i'm on date, but were the MV2's available at that time? I'm also surprised that you were having problems with these shoes, because i went straight from VFF treks to them (MV2) and after 10,000 miles, i still haven't had any injuries other than one point where i was night running on a rocky trail, which you can guess what happened when my headlight went out. Then again, I did notice it made me change my running slightly when walking and downhill due to ginormous lugs.

  • For minimalist running the Newton Running Shoes are all wrong. The primary reason is that the forefoot lugs don't allow a runner to engage their toes. I tried the Newtons for two weeks and hated them after the first week.

  • To much to soon, thats why they specifically tell you to start with short runs and build up slowly. My guess is you trying to run on your toes and not midfoot strike.

  • @StephenTreg Thanks for watching!! No, been a mid-foot striker for 18+ months when I shot this video, coming out of consistant barefoot and VFF running. I've been with the Inov-8 F-Lite 195 flat (injury/pain free) for 1,200 miles now since shooting this video and they haven't forced me to change my form like these Newtons did.

  • Definitely too much Newton shoe for you, also adjusting with way too much speed and distance too fast. Try the MV2 or Distance for your running style.

  • Too long winded

  • @t1ga5 agreed. working on it.

  • Well if youre sore, then youre doing something right. The newtons are meant to workout those parts of your body more. Just cause you get sore doent mean you have to return the shoes.

  • have you looked into the new newton mv2? i've been running with VFFs and love them and am about to wear them out. was considering looking at these mv2's. they are suppose to be "zero lift" and more minimalist than the newtons you tested.

  • Try the new balance minimus. That's what I use..

  • i have the same newton running shoes. i run on roads plus trails with lots of roots. i have been very happy with them. i will say you really need to start with walking then short runs before getting into double digit miles. different shoes for different people. best of luck with your running.

  • @brianpcurran thx man! Agreed, different strokes for different folks. I've been barefoot and minimalist running since 2009 (generally running since mid-90s) and I've gradually been building up my miles to where I am now (75+mi/wk) over the last 2yrs.

  • whats your thoughts of the biklas

  • @seldin911 I like them a lot. I ran over 1,300mi in the KSO's before the Bikilas came out. I've now run several hundred in the Bikilas and they are certainly the VFF's to have for running

  • yeah i got a pair for christmas. i use to only be able to run 15 mins then i would have to stop cause my achillies would get inflamed so much that another step would kill me. which sucks cause im a boxer i need to run. i would only be able to do sprints or a hard 15 min run every other day cause of that. i think the problem is i would land alot harder and push off alot more in a running shoe but since i been wearing the bikilas i have been able to run 30 mins everyday with little swelling.
