That depends on what you're looking for. For great oratory, his attacks against Cataline are excellent. His book De Oficiis, (On Moral Obligation) is an excellent source for Cicero's philosophy. It is essentially a letter to his son, who was studying at Athens. Cicero wrote it when he was 62 and he died before it was published.

It's not a matter of opinion Kantfan, Cicero opposed equitable land distribution, opposed allowing equestrians into senate, and many other things Caesar and other popularis pursued. Catiline, a democratic reformist, was killed at the hands of Cicero's death squads. I agree with Greg Felton's premise, but his quotation seems out of context.
