Evo 6 was the first gen of evo with intelligengt 4wd. I heard Tommi Makinen was one of a few drivers who was able to set better time on track with system turned off. Thing really hard to do even on pr0 level. Great car sence, the way you feel car, actual be able to shift weight. Great job.

All I can say is this. Tommi Makinen was one, if not, the best fucking rally car driver ever to take the wheel. What he did with his Lancer Evo and Lancia Delta is simply phenominal. Like britdemo said, Makinen was balls to the wall, he did what others could never do, except for Colin McCrae, whom I consider my hero. I loved Makkinen, I miss the years with him and Mitsubishi, he was simply unstoppable. A guy who took every corner flat out, and one who wasn't afraid to pull the impossible.

Loo85, Makinen leaved Mitsubishi because they develop the Evo under Group A rules (the other teams changed to WRC rules faster) and the Evo was no longer competitive. As you can see after Makinen leaved Evo they never win a race (even obtained a podium).
