There were some good action scenes toward the middle. Typical Anita pissing contests. The standard Anita “don’t act like a girl” lines tagged with “your repetition as a whore” arguments. Unnecessary reoccurring characters that do absolutely nothing but relationship babble in the place of action & crime solving. Water downed “mystery” element. And the wrap up was more or less anticlimactic, but at least no BJ were required. Interesting series. Just extremely dated of material.

@ HeavenlyDeath82, Oh I get it....I understand perfectly that LKH stopped being a good (not great) writer, say oh...10 books ago. She's so afraid of killing off any imaginary friends that she's lost the plot in her own story. She can't see the forest because there's too many damn trees! Who cares that she's "written" 30 books, since they are all recycled garbage anyway. And don't bother saying they aren't, it's pretty freaking obvious.

More important to get home than to save the day? That's a terrible concept for a main character. "What? Save the day? Nah. I'll just go home." No one should be writing books about a character who just wants to "get milk and go home."

@Livlet Particularly since that means she values getting home to cuddle with her harem more than she cares about saving innocent lives. Not someone you want to cheer for.

Then again, this is a heroine who just let a bad guy escape her city, and just shrugged it off because hey, she was busy having sex. Gotta keep your priorities straight.
