heh heh ...blaming the man on the street for making poor economic decisions .. the Bush tax cuts = 2 trillion to debt ...to unnecessary wars = 1.1 trillion ..the great recession ( banks holding out the American dream carrot to ppl , knowing they could not really afford such ) unemployment insurance , other safety net benefits payed out as a result...yep , it's the average American's fault
Driven out Holding out Day by day survival Castaways have silent lives With a strength to rival you. So now I'm driving in my car I used to be able to walk this far Now I turn on the light I used to be able to sleep at night I'm cooking with microwaves To warm up food that's not seen the soil Plugged into my TV Yeah, I'm used to the lies they're telling me They're telling me I hope it comes, it comes, it comes around
Driven out Holding out Day by day survival All castaways have silent lives With a strength to rival Driven out Holding out Driven out Holding out With a strength to rival you. So now I'm hoping that we'll find More to life than meets the eye Can we escape the grind? Live a life that's more worthwhile? Get rid of this empty pride Let's pull our selfishness inside Debate in a turning tide Until then, we all hide We all hide I hope it comes, it comes, it comes around
Driven out Holding out Day by day survival oh Castaways have silent lives With a strength to rival Driven out Holding out Yeah, it could take up your best time Driven out Holding out With a strength to rival you Rival you, oohoo.
Most excellent! I caught the gated community shot {:> Raised in the country with American Indian lore as my guide I lament the cruelty that we humans force on Mother Earth. May we evolve to a much higher state for awareness and return the beauty to Earth and her denizens!
@ravenmoonsbluemoon no. in the end russia and china will be cut loose to rule the worlds short 3.5 days left to them then the comet planet will come a callin
come on, no one forced anyone to buy a house they couldn't afford. The housing crisis couldn't have happened without ignorant consumers. People need to take responsibility for themselves, however unpleasant that may be now. We're all paying the price for this.
Greed and lust causes people to be blind. Ignorance is too kind of word. Even an ignorant person would not buy a new shoty house 200,000 more than what it's worth. But tell them it's their dream to own that house and they become stupid and sign their life away. Stupid should hurt! That way something would be learned. So whats this have to do with the song??
the problem with your theory is that those of us who weren't involved are paying, too. the executives and high-rollers need to mark it off the books and start over. i owe them nothing; for the prosperity they've reaped from my hard work, they owe me access to credit.
@yoscottyb All is well! Let us extend alms for oblivion! Let us fall prostrate and suck the teats of those who extend credit from an imaginary nothing, and let us pretend that it is the fault of slaves only recently disabused of the notion that Santa Clause exists! Yes! This is the Devo-lution! Let us blame the victims for the criminal actions of those who purport to instill our good well-being!
And in parting, please allow me the pleasure of declaring you a total douche-bag.
Chill out chinchilla. Go getchasumm of that brew, sit back, relax, and enjoy an acoustical version done by Cy and his group...Now count to 10 backwards and go to that special quiet place and let the "liars" disappear.
As a former resident of Stump Road in Hilltown and resident of Perkasie, I appreciate the video as I have seen the destruction the developers have done to the area. I moved to North Carolina, where developers have not taken over....Yet. Nice video and good choice for a song, it brings a tear to my eye to see what they did to Upper Bucks, all for the almighty dollar.
Again, great video and song. It gets the point across.

Driven out by thieves
I watch them pillage the planet
Fueled by a fattening greed
Trees fall to the hatchet
Jass19b 1 year ago
We're chopping against the grain
Our spirits in a vacuum
Sadly ignore the pain
The end arrives, we all lose
We all lose
I hope it comes, it comes, it comes around

YOU are a fucking idiot. Haven't you ever heard of predatory lending practices! Just STFU until you know what you are talking about.

Very nice cover of a great song.
I'm one of those people who like it when a cover tries to sound like the original.
