I like the dual screens. The look of turning pages isn't exactly necessary but a nice touch. I 've been looking for an ereader that can give me the feeling of reading a magazine. Make it read any format, ie: pdf, .lit, html, etc, and this would be the ereader of my dreams.
an animation effect might be an interesting selling point for a new ebook reader, but ultimatly, techies are going to go for the best designed hardware, not the one with the latest gimmick. *cough*macbookair*cough*.
simulating weakness of physical medium onto a digital one IMHO is something bordering to stupidity. even translating paper layout into similarly arranged digital one shouldn't be done. instead, we should exploit the flexibility offered by digital media to the fullness by creating intuitive, responsive and enabling interfaces.
It would seem that the graphic engine required to make it look like the page is turning would be a lot. But this would be a great idea for those that want the look and feel of a traditional book.

so basically pasting a rectangular frame on top of a magazine huh?
lol!
I wouldn't want an ebook reader to become that realistic.. I'd prefer an immediate pageswap over one like here..
