Doesn't work on thick hair. Its a losing battle to begin with trying to clip heavy hair to stay up all night but despite managing it just about I found it did nothing at all to my hair :( think this is one for those with thin hair sadly
ur hair breakage and stuff may be cause by sleeping with the scrunchie i know it doesnt seem like it would do much but i was doing something similar and i stoped and notice less breakage just some friendly advice!
okay it just looks so beautiful and natural , my besties a golden blonde and her hair goes like that in summer she has never dyed it. I'm a brunette and I have blonde highlights lol
if you want a different leave in treatment try chi keratin mist it rebuilds the protein in your hair that is lost by heat it makes your hair soft and strong
how does brushing your hair damage it? i have tons of hair and it tangles easy so combs arnt my favorite but i want to make sure im not killing my hair.
@LizTheLyre RIght...I understand! I've brushed my hair when it's wet my whole life but everyone I've talked to says it breaks your hair so I've just been using a comb. I haven't seen a difference combing it tho!
@LizTheLyre using a brush or a fine tooth comb on your hair while it's wet breaks the hair! hair is at it's weakest when wet, so the best method for brushing it after a shower is a WIDE tooth comb! brush before you shower while it's still dry to remove the big tangles, and then brush it as little as possible after it's wet.
@blue0eyes6 thanks, i wouldnt have known. its nice that i can ask somethign and actually get an answer. thats not somethng you get usually on the popular youtube videos. i really appriciate it.

@LizTheLyre it's easier to break when wet, and since brush bristles are so close together it's easier for each piece to be under stress while brushed. I noticed a significant difference in breakage when I switched to a comb. I agree, it can be difficult with thick hair. Try a wider comb, patience, and maybe a leave in conditioner. If it really just can't work for you, and brushing isn't causing that much damage then don't worry about it too much. Do what works for you :) hope that helped
@TheKristychick333 Hey girl. I actually haven't tried it with an elastic hair band but u can always try it and see...there is usually always a little crease even with a scrunchie but it looks like it's part of the look! it's not supposed to look perfect ;)
@TheKristychick333 you could always just make a ponytail with your hands divide it in two than twist. just pretty much omit the scrunchie holding the ponytail all together than clip it to the top of your head

Brushes dont hurt your hair anymore than a comb does.. Their the same thing except a comb is smaller.
