If you have access to the bootloader (uboot), it is SO easy to change the password :) Just change the bootflags of the kernel into:
init=/bin/bash
This will run bash as the first command after the kernel booted, so there is no multi user enviroment and bash will be executed as... exactly, root :)
Just change the password then:
passwd
And you're good to go :)

360 hacks are easy its just a firmware key injection and then put the modified firmware onto the 360 takes like 10 min total taking the xbx apart and flashing.
