Maybe the way to be immortally adored in USA or wherever requires to die of heroin overdose or break the band after first few albums. Offspring would be much more appreciated if they never grew up. Band had its ups and downs but they continued to play the music they like and no one has to like it anymore. I will be forever grateful for their music and powerful lyrics.

I love all the offspring music they have loads of class songs on other albums.

"Kids aren't alright" "Dammit I changed again"

"Long way home" and about 30 more. I used not like "pretty fly" too but if you listen to it there is some class guitare in it.

Its pretty ironic how that last song on smash was "I don't wanna be a trendy asshole, do what I want do what I feel like." Guess they felt like being trendy assholes after that album.

Americana had some songs that were too pop, but it was still a good album. Conspiracy and Splinter were pure suck, but I kind of liked "Hit That". RFRG has some pretty good songs but the second half of the album is mostly shit.

My point is that the Offspring hasn't died yet, they are just nothing like they were before.

I also think that Ignition and Smash are the best stuff off Offspring, but Americana, Conspiracy Of One and Splinters are good albuns too. I don´t like Pretty Fly, WDYGAJ or Original Prankster too much, but Offspring didn´t die when these musics appear on MTV.
