theyre not usually for use as data drives, you usually download your OS and boot programs on to it, so your PC runs quicker, and starts quicker. And then use a second HDD for actual data

If someone hasn't noticed yet, the fan controller, which comes along with the case, doesn't work with 3x140mm quite long... I got mine malfunctioned (transistor burnt) and bought optional controller, which has better power output for my Scythe Slip Streams 1700rpm(140mm)...those suck 4,2W per channel. It would be nice, if they told how many watts is the maximum load for the controller. Except that, I've loved the case so far. All 7 mounts occupied by various of sized fans.

For me its a downer that there are only two 5.25". I use one 5.25" for an optical drive and two 5.25" spaces for hot swappable 3.5" HDD. So the optimal for me is 3 5.25" and the rest 3.5"/2.5" spaces.

@andrewc513 I have a P180 and a FD Define R2 and I can tell you now, its nothing like the P180. Its not cheap, plasticy, doesn't warp and your hard-drives don't break from the rubbish cable management like the P180.

Outside design is. But inside define r2 is on another level. This is what antec p180, p182 and p183 should have been+it costs 50% less than p183 where i live. For such a low price this case offers more than antec or any other manufacturer atm.

@junglaismassivmon Whilst the R2 may have better sound dampening than Antec's case, they perform less impressively, having heat issues with all that sound dampening material. Yes it can be rectified with having extra vents though.

Even if it does have all those extra vents, i don't think you should judge a case on how it could be but rather how it is when it comes out of the box. Hence i'm not entirely convinced on this

Well the biggest issue i have with p180 etc. is the lack of hdd space. If you have long graphic card you will be left with space for 4 hdds only. And squeezing 4th one in is pain. Secondly r2 has more cooling potential. And thirdly the price. R2 goes for ~75€ here while p183 is around 140€.

thats actualy wrong, i baught the first Define case they released and it was far behind the R2 in every aspect aside of the sound dampening properties.

Perhaps the first define case wasn't advertised out of Sweden as a market test on a local level or something, i don't know.
