  • If we were really meant to eat meat then why do we have such shity mechanics for catching them. Please anyone go jump on the back of a cow and try to bite threw its hide, oh yea why are our digestive tracts 4 feet longer than a real carnivore, dont for get the differences in the stomach acids. Saturated fats can easily come from planet sources, by the way he says nothing about the effect on the prostate, why does the amino acids turn into sulfur and ammonia that wash out calcium.

  • @kazmir1979 Humans are biologically omnivores, and have digestive tracts suitable for eating both meat, and plant products.

  • @Dominoes0 YOU ARE SO WRONG, dont cook your meat and see how biologically a omnivore you are...This is crazy how common sense has went out the door. We have weak stomach acid, long digestive tracks(which allows the meat to sit longer turning toxic) and oh yea jaw structure that DOES NOT allow you to bit the hide of any creature. Your thought is only taking you so far back in humanity we all seem to forget the ability to control fire came why after human fore thought. Prostate gland swells 2

  • Dr. Miller,

Please site your sources. You use quite a lot of Tom Naughton's film FAT HEAD without having asked permission or referencing the creator Tom Naughton or even mentioning the name of the film. The clips are taken from the comedy documentary Fat Head.

  • @PaleoKids smell ass

  • I am worried about starting to eat these things again and then someone will come along in five years time and tell me to stop!

Like many people, having gone off full fat milk long ago I now find it too rich. On the other hand I really like full fat ice cream - but only eat it when someone gives it to me.

  • @alanheath I wish I had that problem...people wanting to give me full fat ice cream.

  • I forced coconut on myself

  • This doctor lost me when he said that, following the USDA guidelines, he did not express any concern to his patients about carbohydrate intake including pastries. Pastries often contain excess amounts of butter, shortening, hydrogenated oils, etc. These are saturated fats and trans fats. No wonder you didn't see results with your patients. You never followed the guidelines properly to begin with. I found other areas of this presentation to demonstrate similar inaccuracies. Not credible.

  • it is a shame that nutritionists force their view on us by forcing resturants to use junk oils instead of letting the public decide what they want individually. good video except I don't think we evolved from apes (who mostly are vegetarians with some meat when they can get it) anyhow so called experts are good at ignoring free will of others. this is socialism or communism, stake holders deciding what is right and forcing it on everyone else.this is a violation of people's rights.

  • Eat some spinach, brocolli, almonds and if you must some psyllium husk.

  • Another point - cancer and heart disease now kills more because there are cures for things like TB which used to kill. You have to die of something and if cures ever become available for cancer and heart disease then something else will appear.

  • I would question the value of the colour of an egg - I asked a hen breeder and nutrionalist on this one. I mentioned that the deeper yellow the better the taste and I noted that it came from free running hens. The person I questioned said that it was due to the diet of the hen which could possibly also come from caged birds.

  • I know that Ancel Keys is being attacked a lot in the past couple of years but he did live to be 100 so perhaps he had some idea on what was healthy and what was not.

  • @alanheath What about people who smoke, drink and chow down on lard and live to 100?

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z I suspect that they are happy because they eat lard.

  • @qwertasdcfghjklmo24z Those people are the exception, not the rule. People often default to these stories in order to give themselves a free pass to consume carelessly. The majority of those who smoke, drink and chow down on lard are not so lucky.

  • Why does he sound 'scared' when someone asks him a question about complex carbs? Secondly, there's no way any athlete can eat such a high fat percentage and succeed. If you want to perform well ask an athlete about his/her diet

  • @PUSSY100ish It's been done.

  • @PUSSY100ish And one can argue it's superior.

  • @Esoparagon This diet is good for sedentary people, especially type 2 diabetics which are on the increase due to lack of exercise/activity. However, it definately is not for people who are active like me. I'm no professional athlete but I am very physical (weights and running) and I believe there should be approx 50% good carbs in the diet, akin mediterranean diet, not just 10 - 20%.

  • @PUSSY100ish You don't need carbs to be physically active but you may lift heavier with glycogen stores and that's about it. You have so much energy in ketosis because glycogen stores are fairly limited in comparison to fat stores. Ask anyone who's done it. Being in ketosis gives you great energy. It makes more sense to do distance running in ketosis than on carbs really. I lift weights without carbs. Depends on your goals I guess and if you deal well with carbs that's cool for you.

  • @PUSSY100ish But being very active is unnecessary for perfectly fine health and neither is lifting very heavy weights. Distance running is just silly and if someone is doing a lot of exercise, it's not for the health benefits, it's for some other motivation.

  • @PUSSY100ish And athletes aren't exactly normal people.

  • Why is he so fat? He obviously doesn't believe in what he sells

  • @PUSSY100ish Metabolic damage from eating so many carbs all his life.

  • 50:37 When you eat meat , you get fiber ???? There's is no fiber in meat !!!

  • @cuyversmarc actually there is, only it is very low.

  • Science is resistant to new ideas by design (it can take several decades, in some instances a lifetime, for a paradigm shift). As a whole, this is a sane self defense mechanism for science, designed to protect it from pseudoscience. It can be frustrating if you represent a new hypothesis, but rest assured, science will swing around.

  • When he says "Government" he really means to say "Free Market" class interests. That is the only reason for it's existence whose sole objective to maintain and promote class interests and profit. It's a government of the Plutocracy

  • Thank you Donald

  • This is so bad...if you want to get more info on the topic read the article on this link: sciencebasedmedicine(dot)org/index(dot)php/eat-fat-get-thin/#more-18136 (Remove (dot) and replace with " . " )

  • Well done. He could be a better speaker. Nonetheless, the point was well made and the evidence highly intriguing!

  • in my country they get the fat and make put it in the fat and eat it

  • It won't be long before the worlds governments actually take this on board. However...if we let the population know that saturated fat is actually good for us then the world will run out of meat and instead of people dying from heart disease and obesity related illnesses we're going to have a lot of well people. Not good for the drugs industry or our pensions. Keep saying carbs are good and at least we'll keep the death rate high.

  • I want everyone to go out and buy bacon, steaks, hamburger, sausage, chicken, turkey, ham, lamb, fish, pork chops, butter, cream, whole milk (raw of course)

eat these foods for every meal, every day, of every week.

Then report back to me in 10 years. If you're still around, tell me how you're doing.

  • @Chadolution Many people already do that and they're doing fine, with cholesterol levels lowering significantly. Research paleo and keto diets if you're interested.

  • @Chadolution There are already people who have done that. How about you actually go research those diets instead of demanding people on YouTube spoonfeed you information?

  • I for one enjoy the longer videos. Lots more information. Not all of us are "indoctrinated sheep who lack focus and prefer entertainment."

  • Yes Absolutley Saturated fats(butter, cream, cheese, coconut oil, cacao butter,beef/lamb fat)are the ONLY ones we MUST eat!!! Unsaturated fats are Really the problem in big ammounts.. Check why on Dr.Ray Peat WebSite!! All the best!!

  • Chow down! I'll get you a shovel, hell, I'll do the shoveling! The fewer of you quesi-intellectuals the better. The sooner you all are one of Dr (?) Miller's patients the better.

You people hear one person say something you agree with, well facts be damned, other opinions can go to hell. Nobody is as smart as you as long as you have ONE person of some note, whoa! you are some kinda super genius. And god, you must make sure EVERY human being on the planet gets your message. F off!

  • @jrmlover7 If you'd paid the slightest shred of attention not only would you know he is a doctor, you'd know how retarded the rest of your comment is.

  • @trinityj1 Wow me thinks my step dad got onto my YouTube account again, because I have never seen this video or know what either of you are talking about lol. *off to punch him now*

  • I would add at the end that the milk needs to be raw.

  • finally the truth comes out.

  • @bonmom - Keep preaching the dogma Dr. MacEvoy, and if you're willing to believe that feeding rabbits cholesterol rich food is equivalent to human physiology, and are willing to accept that Ancel Keys ignored 16 other countries as evidence of the validity in "nutrition literature" then Dr. Miller will certainly be a busy man. Also, your belief that saturated fat "clogs" and "floats" in the arteries, as you "saw" during surgery, only demonstrates a complete lack of cardiac pathophysiology.

  • @bonmom - Ad hominem will get you nowhere. Why can't vegans argue the FACTS rather than assert a lack of credentials??? Dr. Miller has no problem getting people on the table by allowing them to follow our government's recommended diet. Why don't you put your "higher education" in nutrition to use and present a rebuttal worthy of the information he provided? Your reply was weak and clearly an example of vegan logic. Why not have a piece of bacon and get back to us when your brain is working, OK?

  • For those with short attention spans, and you want to see a good synopsis of why a high carbohydrate/low fat diet is NOT something that most human beings are well adapted to, just watch 14:0019:00. For those with more patience, please watch the entirety of the video. It is one of the better videos on YouTube justifying why the nutritional dogma, that our government has been peddling for decades, is so misguided.

  • Does anyone have the link to the youtube video featured in this presentation?

  • @Malevezors The video footage is from a documentary called Fathead. It's available for free on Hulu.

  • @Malevezors It's in the related videos. "Big Fat Lies." You have to scroll down a bit to find it.

  • Another case of government scientists telling people exactly the OPPOSITE of what will KILL THEM... almost as if by design....

  • @JimBoCycle You can be sure it IS by design. But that's okay, just do exactly the opposite of what the "authorities" promote, and you'll be just fine.

  • JimBoCycle, yes, but if a person is dumb enough to let the government tell him what to eat, he pretty much gets what he has coming.

The FDA came up with the food pyramid, designed to sell the wheat and corn of commodity agriculture. It has nothing to do with keeping you healthy. Grains are fattening.

Your biological need for carbs is actually zero. Your brain will run just fine on glucose made from fat. How did Cro-Magnons live for up to 9 months on all meat diet? Fat is the best food.

  • Thanks, but to get more people on board you guys should do abbreviated versions of these videos. Say less than 8minutes.

After all, your audience is made up of indoctrinated sheep who lack focus and prefer entertainment.

  • @capgains lol

  • @capgains I think I would have preferred the conclusion first but the whole presentation is very interesting!

  • @capgains OMG, the condescension in your post is amazing, and I fully agree with your suggestion!

  • It looks and feels like he is very apologetic for what he told people back when the wool was pulled over his eyes...I feel for him.
