Good Question. I believe The Kingdom of God is not only spiritual, but it is intensely practical. The church today must move beyond its traditional role if it is to truly fulfill its mission. It can no longer respond only to spiritual needs & speak only to people's hearts. The church is called to be a force for change in the world, especially where the needs are greatest: the inner-city neighborhoods where crime, violence, & unemployment are the order of the day.
Also, I believe Economic Empowerment shows churches how to become a force for revitalization in their community by becoming involved in the everyday, economic life of their communities. It shows churches how to structure themselves, how to avoid tax problems, what businesses they can operate without jeopardizing their tax-exempt status, & step-by-step guidelines for implementing ancillary operations such as real estate, day care centers, drug abuse rehabilitation centers, housing projects, etc

if you believe the Bible then you have to believe the book of Acts. it clearly shows that the holy spirit filled the disciples and gave them the gift of tongues. people that heard them thought that they were drunk. so for you to say stuttering speech is how pagans worship their false gods puts you in the category of thinking that the disciples were drunk also. doesn't make a whole lot of sense if you believe the Bible to be true

I went to see him at the Kingdom Sermon in Birmingham, AL on July 17, 2009 and he was awesome he is truly an annointed man of God and there are so many people posting U-tube videos calling him a deciteful liar, u can't believe the haters that post these hateful comments, may God continue to bless and fill him with truth!

He was stating that we as men get beat down with our brother and sisters who criticize and talk down to the person who is already down. Instead of trying to encourage that brother,sister that they can live a holy life and make it.....It's easy to talk down to a person and that's what we have in the church today. Some people feel that they are more saved than others and that's sad.

Good Question. I believe The Kingdom of God is not only spiritual, but it is intensely practical. The church today must move beyond its traditional role if it is to truly fulfill its mission. It can no longer respond only to spiritual needs & speak only to people's hearts. The church is called to be a force for change in the world, especially where the needs are greatest: the inner-city neighborhoods where crime, violence, & unemployment are the order of the day.

Also, I believe Economic Empowerment shows churches how to become a force for revitalization in their community by becoming involved in the everyday, economic life of their communities. It shows churches how to structure themselves, how to avoid tax problems, what businesses they can operate without jeopardizing their tax-exempt status, & step-by-step guidelines for implementing ancillary operations such as real estate, day care centers, drug abuse rehabilitation centers, housing projects, etc

In fact I took the liberty to call MSNBC to confirm if your words were true, You can call in their administration Research hotline, & the Administrator for the Executive Producer said, in her exact words, " The person ( which is you) who made this statement, is delusional. We aired a complete and fair interview of Pastor Jakes on election night and during the inauguration. He did not state those words, neither did he show any discomfort toward Obama or McCain.

I too took the liberty to call MSNBC research affiliation center to the public offices, to confirm if COOP1974a words were accurate about Bishop Jakes, I did not speak with a research admin specialist, however I did speak with one of the record coordinators who assists the commentators & producers with interviews & storylines. He, stated, almost the exact same words.
SO you know Coop1974 has a personal vengeance against jakes for no apparent reason.

Yeah I did too, I saw the Jakes interview on Larry King Live . It was a good interview, he answered all the tough questions about OBAMA & with OBAMA.
Look I don't go to church as you know, maybe one day i will,maybe I will go to Jakes' church (LOL) or my favorite Tv pastor eddie long, he keep it real, but I got enough sense to know when I see a dang on crook and a Jackass. And Jakes is not a fraud, BUT coop1974a is jackass, who got personal issues with preachers.

Some of the info that you are quoting is very false. Some of the companies don't exist or were started with money from the churches or the churches help promote them. TD Jakes the Myer's and Adiehisan are great examples of this.
